Bitter wind crisply flits throughout the Whispering Forest. It had been a long time since Eli laid his crimson eyes on the woods Just outside of Callum. Years spent in the city of Thunderbird left Eli unpracticed in the art of navigating his birth region. His hot breath created tiny snow clouds as his large boots crunched without grace. He wrapped his slender hands around his muzzle. God his nose was freezing. A cabin peaked through a clearing in the woods, freezing Eli in his tracks.
"Come on, Elisud. Dad needs you." He said alone and aloud with his voice muffled through his paws.
He thrusted his shoulders forward as he shoved his hands back in his hoodie. Each step he prepped himself more and more to see his adoptive father. Each crunch he took time to soften his smile and relax his brow. Trying not to recall his last conversation-- no, argument with his father. Experiments, ferals, all of that's in the past. His father had gotten far too old for any of that to matter now.
He noticed wafts of smoke from the chimney. A welcome home from his father.
