I felt like doing a better, more detailed mawshot than the last one I did. These things are fun to color, but a pain to sketch. I swear, teeth in mawshots are basically the equivalent of hands in anthro art. They both hate you. Srsly. A few stray/unsymmetrical lines can skew your entire perception of depth XP
I'm very happy with how this came out though.

Sounds like ya should be happy with how it came out. I don't think the teeth take away from this pic any, but you're right about them...they're like hands in that they're difficult to get to that degree of rightness.

Teeth in close-up ARE like hands. Deceptively difficult.
Other than the teeth lacking a bit of depth and shape, though, its a great picture. Simple, but effective at instilling that feeling of getting the final glimpse of the world from within a creature's maw. With that said, I feel like the outside world could use a tiny bit of detail. Maybe a cloud, or a treetop, or just some light effect from looking too close to the sun, but it feels a tad empty now. Though, that does shift focus where it should go, the inside of the maw, so this may all just be pointless speculation on my part...

Hmm I wasn't really going for a background so it was more of a filler than anything <<. I couldn't just leave it white though or else it would totally contrast... well pretty much everything. Haha I can see how one would want their last look upon the world to be a little less boring though ^^

Bah, humans. Always agreeing on the world being overpopulated, but when you're doing something against it and it just sliiiightly encroaches on their own comfortable life, whine, whine whine. He should be glad that he's disposed of in a manner that keeps more important species alive -and- does something against overcrowding!
