As Ash was told to take Nina to his parents, he did so. Poor Nina is getting worried :<.... She must go out and help, persistent little one ain't she? *heheh

as for Sparx and Layla, well lets just say Sparx remembered a certain Dragonfly from the beginning (because he wasn't controlled right away without seeing anything like Nina was - actually he wasn't controlled at all for that fact.) and told Layla >_> so thats why she's angry. XD;.....
