I've spent the better part of a decade looking at a wide variety of art, from many different artists and of varying degrees of quality and style. Much of that time was also spent wanting to be able to draw, for a few different reasons along side the most obvious one. I won't go into the details as to why I didn't/couldn't, but suffice it to say, I can now.

That said, I know this is going to be a long path, and I know things are going to look like absolute shite to begin with; but I want to share this journey with you, whoever you are that is interested in following this journey of mine towards being a competent, at least half decently skilled artist.


The above image is but the first of what I hope will be many uploads I make. I won't be posting something every single day, maybe not even every month, but I want to, now and again, display my progress. For the moment I'm trying to draw every day, even if it's only for about twenty minutes and just a handful of nondescript, disembodied figures in various poses. I've already learned a few things and I hope that if I can keep at it I will continue to do so and constantly improve.

This image's lesson: I can't draw a straight line to save my life... Possibly due to my far from optimal sitting arrangement.
