I thought I'd upload something rather unique that I had drawn over the Summer, an anthropomorphic Cuoatl, a mythological winged serpent. First off, how exactly DO you do an anthropomorphized snake? Well, in my case, like this! I'd imagine that while her base torso and start of her tail would be roughly the average height of a human, she'd probably be about 20-30+ feet long, from the top of her head to the base of her tail.
The wings were either a lot of fun or a total pain to design, but I started by elongating humanoid arms,, even giving her two finger-like appendages at the top of her wings she can use like hands. Her wings would have to be VERY large in order to support her body in flight. While they may be mistaken for dragons, they aren't, (though it is possible that they may be a distant cousin of dragons.)
I like to imagine that this particular Cuoatl is a magician, specializing in the healing arts, since serpents are often symbols of healing. Don't ask me how in the hell she gets that leather corset laced up, because even I the artist wouldn't know how that would work!
