Most of the things we face in life tend to be those that are very small. For one Mage-Scientist, the ever-excited Taryzog, and one Philippine eagle, the ever-not-giving-a-fvck Habagat, the things they face in life tend to be small, big, alarmingly big, incomprehensibly tiny, or something in-between all of those. This is why taking breaks are preferred when you are a spiky serpent-dragon with an intelligent eagle for a companion, living on a starscraper with literally one apartment unit on top.
Though, even breaks can have their downsides, it's best to enjoy them while taking into account the consequences. After all, getting fined by the Anzikerus Military Police for a bizarre incident involving copious amounts of alcohol and hamburgers should teach you a lesson. Not helped by stresses involving ideas being passed back and forth.
At that, Taryzog decided to just go on with herself. Even finding joy in her companion not-so-subtly spying on her reading.
After all, sometimes it's best to enjoy the little things.

*I notice an interesting gryph hovering close to me. I sense his intention and share my book.*
"Oh, hello there! You want to read too? This book is about notorious anarchist acts. Mostly comedic, but also serious in how to avoid anarchy. I'm reading the book out of interest."
*I notice him looking at a label on my take-out Anndis's Flat Pounder burger*
"Oh, that? Anzikerus? That's the city the burger's from."

*I feel nervous yet intrigued by Ethon.*
"Okay, Ethon. I'd like to ask, why are you telling me about ionizing radiation? And you your society is full of anarchy?"
*I subtly look at my eagle familiar, Hilaga, who nods at me and readies herself if Ethon does something suspicious.*

"I have a nuclear reactor. Poorly shielded. By your standards. I guess. That is the reason. I wear plating. It is part of me. An organ. Like the brain." Ethon tapped his chest plating.
"As for anarchy. We don't have it. A leader. Like a president. Or whatever you call it. I live in it. A society considered chaotic. Because it shifts. Quickly. And is decentralized. No central government. There is reason. It is organized. Can there be anarchy? Where there is reason?"

[EDIT: Familiar's name is actually Habagat, I got mixed up with one of my OCs]
*Habagat and I slowly lose suspicion after hearing Ethon's explanation.*
"So, you're a cyborg? I didn't know about that, and you said your reactor is poorly shielded?"
*I open a mini-shattergate and retrieve a paper-thin piece of silvery-black material.*
"Take this. It's a plate of depleted uranium meant for shielding nuclear reactors. I've lightened, and super-compressed it, using secret techniques obviously."
*I offer Ethon the reactor shielding.*
