Working at the temple was better than I'd expected! It's barely work, the place is hardly ever visited so most of my job is cleaning and maintaining the shrines. The uniform is a little tight, but none of the other keepers seem to mind, and if I'm going to be completely honest with myself, I kind of like it. Back home, I never really got the chance to show myself off at all, I never had the confidence, I guess.
The only real problem is I've been so hungry since I arrived! None of the meals seem enough to sate me, I've had to start asking for seconds. The maidens would giggle and say something about Inari's blessing, but honestly I don't mind what they call it as long as I get more rice. I've gained a little weight but, nobody can really notice it, can they?

I looked in the mirror this morning - do my ears seem more pointy than usual? And these lines on my face, I must have been scratching myself in the night...
