Endangered No More (AC 2018 Commission)
Second of two commissions I scored in AC2018's Artist's Alley, this one involves
miateshcha's "Koyabashi Salamander" crossing himself off an endangered-species list. How did he accomplish this feat? No, not that wiseguy...the part about making his species no longer endangered. That was accomplished with sex. A whole heaping boatload of it--impregnations, knock-ups, you name it--every which way but loose. I even touched upon the end result of one of these encounters in a past commission (2011's Pregnant Pause. So he's been real busy making all manner of little salamanders all this time. Mission Accomplished. Now it's rest time.
And a whole lot of re-hydration :) (orders up a couple cases of gatorade and spring water)
Technical:
Not a whole lot to say this time, just your regular pencil/ink con commission with a not-too difficult pose and a funny premise. The kind I really like to get into (and get finished )While I really need to investigate how to draw these things faster (probably by not obsessing over the degree of cleanup before inking) I at least finished this one the same day it was started.
Brush-inked pencils on bristol, cleaned up, touched up and re-sized for FA display using Micrografx Picture Publisher 10
