Secret Weres!
Part One: There, Snake!
Irene Hebert was born in a small New Hampshire town to the local union's Head of Hiring and a college professor. From the beginning, she moved with a grace and elegance far beyond her blue-collar roots; it was nothing she'd worked at, it just came naturally. As she grew, her model-level looks became ever more apparent. Irene decided that if she looked like a model, then that is what she was meant to be. Her mother, a radical feminist, didn't exactly approve but her aunt helped the young Ines set up some modeling gigs and enrolled her in dance to further help her natural grace and agility. Irene turned out to be an immensely talented dancer but the rift between her and her mother grew; the two began to lock horns quite often.
Eventually, Irene decided that small-town life was not adequate for her dreams. Changing her legal name to Inez Ayber, she moved to Paris where her knowledge of French and her lessons on sealing the deal from her dad served her well. By the age of 21, Ines had landed a big-time gig with a famous fashion designer, had a standing contract as an independent dancer, and was all set to be making more money than either of her parents had ever seen.
And then, the evening before her big shoot, after a night of story dreams, she woke up...the wrong species?
