The work-in-progress for a commission I'm doing for  LINCARD1000 based on a scene in one of his novels.

From the priest's point of view? The devil just burned down our church, ravaged a man, is speaking the language of demons and is using our beautiful cross as a crutch!

The truth of the situation? An alien crash-landed into the rural church, has a broken leg (thankfully, there was that convenient sturdy piece of wood in the burning building), his human co-pilot is in a bad way so he is trying to get help for him...except his translator is broken so the humans are scared shitless of the "demon" standing before them.
