Season 1 Ep1 Part 3
Inside the main office at the Pokémon academy, headmaster Thomas was busy reading some important paper work that were left on his desk from his secretary Serenity. While he look through the paperwork, a fellow student name Valo Drawer was sitting on a chair in front of the headmaster desk, while one of the school nurse try to stitch up his wounds from the fight he was in. Valo had no problem dealing with the school nurses since he go there every other fight he was in, but one school nurse he didn't like the most was a Zoroark name Nurse Luna, who have a bad habit to tease her patients in bitter pain. Valo remember one time she help a student that had a broken tail bone, the only way she could help the students, is by trying to cut it out. That student was so scared of going to the nurse office that had to have their parents to pick them up from school and go to town instead. Valo was still thinking about that student event, he didn't notice that Nurse Luna was halfway done stitching him up. She grab one more roll of bandages and cover up the stitch area.
Nurse Luna: I had to admit Valo, you sure know how to get into trouble all the time.
Valo Drawer: well trouble always find a way to get to me. Especially when my friends in danger.
Nurse Luna: well at least you try to help your friends, instead of the other way. I have to admit, I'm still surprised you have flinched that much when I started stitch up your open wound. Most of the kids be afraid of me, because of those rumors.
Valo Drawer: I well aware of those rumors, but the headmaster told me that you’re the head nurse little sister, and you have to be on your best behavior, since the headmaster is your brother in-law
Nurse Luna: well look who have a pair. Then I guess you have no problem for me to give you *she grab a syringe from her nurse bag* your flu shot at the rear.
Valo Drawer: ........
Thomas the writer: Luna, I need you to heal him, not scare him to death.
Nurse Luna: I'm just having a little fun Thomas. No harm done.
Thomas the writer: well try to keep the fun down, I need to get these paperwork done, before the next bell ring.
Nurse Luna: fair enough. I already done stitching him up. All he need to do now is to keep himself from another fight, or else.
Valo Drawer: I try to behave, just to make sure you won't try heal me again.
Nurse Luna: with your reputation Valo, that won't be too long.
Nurse Luna laugh to herself, before using her ability to teleport out from the room. Valo was relief that she was gone, and he could relax for a moment. Before he had a chance to relax, he look and notice the headmaster was staring at him, and he wasn't pleased of earlier event he was in. Valo try his best to smile, hoping the headmaster give him a slap on the back.
Valo Drawer: greeting headmaster Thomas, I hope I'm not keeping you away from anything busy.
Thomas the writer: well in was in the middle check these paperwork that Serenity brought to me, but I do have some time to talk to you about the fight you was in at the cafeteria.
Valo Drawer: well before get very upset, sir. I was protecting my friend two greedy brothers.
Thomas the writer: I know you was protecting your friends, and I understand that clearly. But you was facing one of the Averon brothers. Of all people to face with.
Valo Drawer: I know sir, but those guys won't leave my friend alone. They were bugging my friend Nina for lunch they think she owed them, and I was only doing what i think was right.
Thomas the writer: by putting your nose in people business, as always.
Valo Drawer: I did said I was sorry.
Thomas the writer: .... sigh, I know you’re sorry about the fight you was in. The same apology you told me since you first started this school.
Valo Drawer: .......
Thomas the writer: Valo, you know I'm not mad at you, just worried about your safety. Ever since your parents when they went on an important mission three years ago. I kept a promise to make sure that you be ok, and staying out of trouble. But now with your track record of getting into fights, you’re making my job a lot harder to keep that promise.
Valo Drawer: I know sir, and I'm truly am sorry to make your difficult. But I can't just sit on the sideline and see people in danger. You of all people once a rescue hero, you should know that feeling.
Thomas the writer: I do, almost every day, but those days are behind me right now. I'm just a headmaster who doing his best to help all the students that needed.
Valo Drawer: and I'm grateful that you been able to help me, more than anyone would.
Thomas the writer: thank Valo, I'm happy I was able to help you, but don't think you’re getting away from the fight you was in Valo.
Valo Drawer: darn, was kinda hoping you would. What sort of punishment I'm going to get this time.
Thomas the writer: just the usual detention won't do it anymore. The next few weeks you’re going to meet our guidance counselor for one on one talk.
Valo Drawer: aww man, not the guidance counselor. I heard she give big hug that nearly break people back.
Thomas the writer: come on now, Gemly isn't so bad. Sure she can be a hugger, but Gemly a good listener. Bedside, this is the only option you got here. So take it, or leave it.
Valo Drawer: .... Sigh, alright Headmaster Thomas, I do it. I'm still not going to like this.
Thomas the writer: just be grateful this is a minor punishment you getting. For the Averon brothers on the other hand, they both going to get some serious talking, or they going to get detention.
Valo Drawer: why no expelled them instead. It will do all of us some good.
Thomas the writer: I want to do that, but since their mother is one of the board of directors of this school, I can just expelled them without a good reason. Now then, if we are done here, I need you to get going, before the bell ring.
Valo Drawer: no problem sir, I need to see if my friends doing alright anyway.
Just before he have the chance to get out from his seat, Valo heard some noise from the headmaster door. Valo look at the door and saw a shadow image of a large pokemon with a gooey figure. Valo was able to hear their voice and already know who it was.
Clara: Valo Kun, are you in there. I'm here to see you.
Valo Drawer: Oh No! Not Clara! I can't believe she was able to find me here.
Thomas the writer: well Clara is a good friend with my two daughters, so she often visits my office.
Dashie Writer: Clara, we can't go in there. You know my father going to be busy talking with someone.
Clara: I know Dashie, but I just want to know Valo kun is alright.
Valo Drawer: is there another way out of here. I'm not in the mood getting hug by her.
Thomas the writer: I don't show this to anyone other than my kids *he got up from his seat and walk over to his bookshelf. He pull one of the book, which open up a hidden passageway* I usually use this for emergency only, but since this a emergency.
Valo Drawer: Thank you sir, I so owe you one.
Thomas the writer: I put that on your I.O.U. now get going, before I changed my mind.
Valo did what the headmaster said and walk into the secret passageway. When Thomas close the passageway, he office door was barge wide open, and out came his daughter Dashie and her friend Clara on the floor. The headmaster secretary Serenity the Mewtwo float inside the office trying her best to apology to Thomas for not able to stop them from barging them inside his office.
Serenity: I'm so sorry for not able to stop them sir, I try my best to stop them, but your daughter friend insisted that she need to check up on the student you had in your office.
Thomas the writer: it quite alright Serenity, you and I both know that once Clara have her eye on someone, she not going to stop.
Clara: speaking of which, is Valo Kun is here. I was able to hear his voice a little while ago, and all I want to do is give him a big hug to make him feel better.
Thomas the writer: sorry Clara, but Valo left a little while ago. He had to get going before class starts, which you two going to be late.
Dashie Writer: don't worry father, we going to class right now. Come on Clara. We have to go.
Clara: Nooo! I need to see my Vlao Kun!
Somewhere at the other side of the hallway, Valo Drawer was able to walking down the hallway, heading for his next class. Valo was hoping to see his friends Icarus and Nina by now, but knowing that they can't be late for their classes, all he need to do is head there to meet them. While he was walking down the halls, he grab his mega stone that he have around his neck. Valo remember that his mom gave him that mega stone, before she left on her mission with his father. Valo close his eyes for a moment, seeing an images of a Lucario who happened to be his mom, and a younger self standing in front of her. He see his mom was giving him a mega stone, and she was telling him to protect it for her, so that she come back to get it. Before she left, his mother gave his younger self a big hug, and then she was gone. Valo open his eyes again, before his memories try to reach the event of what he heard about his parents. He didn't want to remember that day, all he wanted to remember that they are coming back. Valo look at the mega stone and notice something that he never seen before. Valo notice that there was some sort of ancient writing of a dead language, a language that he never heard of. But for some reason, Valo was able to read the writing, which state a name "Tealos" Before he able to finish saying the name, he heard a mysterious voice calling his name echoing the hallway.
Mysterious voice: Valo Drawer!
Valo Drawer: who said my name?
Mysterious Voice: it time to reveal your destiny.
Valo Drawer: what do you mean by that?
Mysterious voice: there is a great evil that lurk around this world, and you’re the only one that can destroy the darkness.
Valo Drawer: what sort of evil are you talking about, and why I'm the only one can do this?
Mysterious voice: be ready to see the light Valo Drawer. It is the key to save the world.
Valo was trying to talk more to the mysterious voice, but so far he didn't hear anything else. Valo was confused of what the voice was talking about. Saying that he had a great destiny, and a duty to stop a great evil that was coming. There was so many questions that running through his head, which he had no clue how to answer them. While his mind trying to this out, Valo over heard someone screaming across the other side of the hallway. He thought to himself it was a young girl screaming, but he know one person in school that scream like that. Valo should call for someone for help, but the time he try to that, it would be too late. Valo know he had to keep his promise to stay out of trouble, but his instincts can't stop him, and all he can do is head over there, and help that student in danger.
Across the other side of the hallway of the school. A Persian name Soven was running away from someone, who was trying to harm him. Soven thought the pokemon he saw was familiar to him, but instead try to harm him in a dangerous way. Soven look behind to see if they were following him, but before he was able to look back, Soven trip on the rug, and face landed on the floor. After lifting his head from the floor, Socen look behind him to see if the person was still behind him. He didn't see anyone at all, but he was able to hear some footsteps echoing the hallway. Soven was scared to see who was attacking him, he even plan to plead to mysterious attacker from not harming. When he heard the footsteps gotten alot louder, Soven was able to see who it was. But instead of being a scary pokemon, it was none other than his little brother Spencer. Soven was relief it was his dumb little brother, but also upset that Spencer try to scare him. He was about to walk up to him and give his little brother a piece of his mind. He notice something strange was going on, and he felt a draft in the air. Soven look at his little brother, and notice a dark aura was gathering around him. He seen his brother eyes was glowing a strange aura, something he never seen before. Soven was afraid that something was wrong with his little brother and ask him if he was ok.
Soven: Spencer, what the matter with you!
Spencer: .....
Soven: alright Spencer, enough games already. I want you to stop acting tough and let go.
Spencer: .....
Soven: are you even listening to your older brother. I ask you again to get over here this instant, or.
Before he got a chance to finish his sentence, Soven notice that his little brother was already close up to him, and place his paw to cover his brother mouth. Soven couldn't say anything at all except mumble his words. Soven was wondering in his mind of what Spencer was doing, and why he attacking him harshly. While his thoughts figuring out of what going on, a few feet where the two brothers are fighting. Rebecca the Dolphix was watching them from a distant, enjoying her little work she had done. She knew Spencer was the perfect target to be control by the dark stone, and all it took by a few words to trick him. Rebecca know that she should have him looking for something for her master, but once she notice that Spencer saw her. At the in the hall, she figured that some fun should be in order. Rebecca continued watching the two brothers, and waited for Spencer to end the job. Just before Spencer try to end his brother with his sharp claws. He heard someone was calling his named, which made him lose his attention on his older brother. Spencer look and saw another student from a distant, and that student was none other than Valo Drawer. Rebecca was a little surprised to see Valo here, she thought she would be with her father for one of his lectures. Part of her was pleased that he was here, which would be a good time for Spencer to teach him a lesson as well. Valo look at Spencer and notice was wrong with him. He was able to see some dark aura was gathering around his body, and it was getting stronger by the minute. Valo wasn't sure what going on, but he try to talk to Spencer, to see if he can stop him from whatever he was doing.
Valo drawer: Hey Spencer, what you think you’re doing. Are you actually trying to harm your own brother?
Spencer: ......
Valo drawer: come on man, I know your bro is a total jerk, but what your about to do to him, isn't going to make you happy.
Soven: ah Valo, I know you’re trying to talk to him, but I don't think my little brother going to listen to you.
Valo Drawer: what do you mean?
Soven: I don’t know, but it look like Spencer is not acting like himself. Like someone is controlling his mind, and force him to attack us.
Valo drawer: maybe you are on to something there Soven. There could be another student nearby using hypnosis, and using him like a puppet.
Soven: if there was someone doing that, I would have seen them by now. *he look and saw Spencer held his claw by his neck* Look Valo, I know we have our differences in the past Valo, but would it be nice of you by saving my life.
Valo Drawer: …… well, part of me would have done it right now, but then again you try to have your brother harming my friends, and trying to take their lunch money.
Soven: alright, I get the picture. I promised to not mess with your friends for lunch money, ever again.
Valo Drawer: .... that a good start, but I feel like you could do more than that.
Soven: what more do you want me to *he was cut off when Spencer claws was very close to his neck* ok, ok, I promised to not take any more lunch money from anyone ever again.
Valo drawer: Soven, you got yourself a deal.
Valo Drawer ran toward Spencer and shove him of the side, which made him tumble on the ground. Valo help Soven to get up from the floor, so he can run away from danger. From a distant where they are, Rebecca wasn't happy of what going on, and was wondering why Spencer isn't stopping them. She was plan to head over there to do it herself, but if one of the see her there, they would blow her cover, and her master plans as well. After helping Soven, Valo look back at Spencer and try again to talk to him some sense. Before he even got close to him, he heard the same mysterious voice spoke to him again, trying to warn him something.
Mysterious voice: tread carefully young Valo. The one you want to help is a threat.
Valo Drawer: what do you mean he a threat. Specer just acting weird is all.
Mysterious voice: sense the dark, Young Valo. Great evil, always hide in the shadows.
Valo Drawer:I don't know who you are, but now you’re talking nonsense to.
Before he could end his sentence, Valo sense the dark aura from Spencet, but this time it was alot stronger. Valo Drawer jump feet from, but before he able to landed, Spencer was able there and kick him on the back. Valo would have fell to the ground when being kick, but he was lucky to land on his feet. He was shock to see that Spencer was able to move like that. While his mind was thinking about what just happened, Valo didn't notice that Spencer was right next to him again. He was about to attack him with his claws attack, but Valo was able to summon his bone staff and block it. Once he able to block it, Valo able to a few inches, and prepare himself for another attack. Valo is trying to figure how Spencer is so fast like that. Valo was able to hear the same voice again, telling him something he need to know.
Mysterious voice: Valo Drawer, are you alright?
Valo Drawer: I'm doing alright, except I'm having some random voice talking to me, while I'm figuring out what is wrong with Spencer.
Mysterious voice: have you not sense the darkness aura from him.
Valo drawer: Darkness aura, is that what going with Spencer.
Mysterious voice: yes, the one name Spencer is possessed by an evil object that is known as the darkstone.
Valo Drawer: Darkstone! What the heck is a Darkstone?
Mysterious voice: I would tell you more about it, but it seem like the one you call Spencer is coming at you.
Valo wasn't sure what the voice meant until he saw Spencer running towards him to do more scratch attack. Valo able to use his bone staff to block a few of his attack, but one of the claws came close and nearly rip his uniform. Valo Drawer wasn't sure relief that he didn't get hurt, but still wondering why Spencer would be crazy enough to harm him like that. From a distant from the fight, Rebecca was really enjoying watching the battle was going, and was curious of whom it going to win. Part of her want Spencer to win, but it seem like it going to take a while to finish Valo off. While she watching the match, a dark void appeared by the side of the wall, then two green eyes staring at her. Rebecca pause for a moment, feeling a cold draft in the air. Rebecca already know about this sort of feeling to well, knowing that her master was nearby. She look at the side of the wall, and see the two green eyes of her Dark Lord Dexerus was here. Rebecca try to act cool, but her body was acting nervously knowing she was in trouble. Rebecca bow to her master, and said some pleasing words to him.
Rebecca: Master, I’m surprised to see you here. I thought for sure that you was resting for a bit.
Dexerus: I was going to, but part of me wanted to see if you was using the new Darkstone I gave you on the new victim already.
Rebecca: I already have master. Right now Spencer is being control by the Darkstone, and so far the stone is acting a lot better than the last one then better before.
Dexerus: that is good to hear, and by the sense of thing, I can feel that meowth is about to end someone life soon.
Rebecca: indeed master, he just have one minor obstacle to deal with, and we will continue our search for the particular item you wanted.
Dexerus: Excellent! Make sure you have him finish the job quickly, and search for the item I seek. Oh! And Rebecca?
Rebecca: yes master?
Dexerus: Don’t fail me!
After hearing those words from Dexerus, Rebecca gulp down knowing that she got to do a job well done for her master, or else the punishment she will get from him would be worst then any detention she would get. She look back at the fight, and see if Spencer was able to finish off Valo already. Back where the two students were fighting each other, Valo was doing his best to find ways of stopping Spencer without harming him, but so far talking wasn’t working, and all Spencer want to do is harm him. Valo had no problem dodging his attack, but having some issue dealing with the mysterious voice who was giving him tips on how to fight, while trying to survive.
Mysterious Voice: careful one call Valo. The one with the Darkstone almost harm with his claws.
Valo Drawer: thanks for the tips, I sort of notice when he put a hole in my shirt already.
Mysterious Voice: you did not need to act that way. All I’m doing is help guide you and getting away from harm.
Valo Drawer: well it nice of you doing that, but I been through a lot of fights, and know how to protect myself from danger.
Mysterious Voice: if that so, then I guess you won’t need me to warn you about the one with the Darkstone, is right behind you.
Confuse of what she meant, but he look behind his back and see that Spencer was there, and about to attack him. Valo able to jump out of the way in time, before he even gotten hurt. Valo breathing heavily, knowing that he been moving around a lot. He was able to hear the mysterious voice again, telling him that he should be grateful.
Mysterious Voice: you should be grateful that my tip help saved your life, the one call Valo
Valo Drawer: ok, I’m grateful that you saved my life, but Spencer is still on the offensive.
Mysterious Voice: there is an ancient saying my ancestors once said. For a great offensive, you need a greater defense.
Valo Drawer: …. I don’t think it go like that.
Mysterious Voice: just keep on blocking his attack, and find an opening.
Valo Drawer: ok, ok, you don’t need to shout like that.
After finish talking with the mysterious voice, Valo went back facing Spencer, and try to take him down again. Valo resummons his bone staff and stood in a defense position. Spencer notice that Valo wasn’t moving at all, and it was an opportunity to stack him. He use his claws to do some damage against him, but Valo was lucky to block every single attack. While blocking his attack, Valo was able to find an opening, and use his bone staff to make a major hit on Spencer. Spencer was able to felt that, and stop moving for a second. Valo use his bone staff to do several more attack on Spencer, until he made a final blow to his head, which made Spencer knock out cold. Valo Drawer was relief that he was able to stop Spencer, but part of him felt sorry that he had to hurt him like that. He heard the mysterious voice was talking to him again, letting him know that he need to keep his guard up.
Mysterious Voice: you best be ready, the one call Valo. Your fight is not over yet.
Valo Drawer: what are you talking about? I knock out Spencer with the hardest attack I ever done. There is no way for him to get up from that.
Mysterious Voice: Really! Then I guess the pokemon that trying to get up from the floor, might say otherwise.
Valo look and notice that Spencer was getting up again, but this time his body was moving in a twisted way. Valo see that the attack he done on spencer was still there, but getting heal up by a dark aura that surrounded his body. Valo Drawer was starting to freaking out, not knowing what to do next. After seeing how Spencer is managing to take several hits, and still kept on getting back up, there was no way to stop him.
Valo Drawer: this is impossible, there no way for Spencer to get up from that.
Mysterious Voice: what you say is true, but thanks to the power of the dark stone that possessing him. That pokemon won’t stop fighting you, until one of you stop moving.
Valo Drawer: so this dark stone you been talking about, is there a way to remove it from Spencer.
Mysterious Voice: there is a way, but in order to know how to use, you must mention my name.
Valo Drawer: what do you mean mention your name?
Mysterious Voice: in order to stop the darkness powers of the dark stone, you must mention my name. Once you do that, you will received an ancient powers of light that will defeat the darkness.
Valo Drawer: ok, sound easy enough, but will this powers will harm Spencer. I really don’t care about him for being a jerk, but I don’t want to hurt him either.
Mysterious Voice: do not worry, this ancient power only harm the darkness, never the person that is possess by it.
Valo Drawer: well then, if that the case. How I mention your name, and gain this power?
When he was asking the mysterious voice a question, he notice a bright light appear out of nowhere, which was blinding him for a bit. Valo try his best to see, and notice the megastone that was around his neck. The Bright light dimmer a bit, which allow Valo to see a lot better. Valo was shock to notice the very megastone that his mother gave to him, was actually something special. Valo continue looking at the megastone, until he hear the same voice was talking to him.
Mysterious Voice: the one that call himself Valo, are you still there.
Valo Drawer: yeah I’m still here. I’m just trying to figure out what going on, and why my megastone is shining for some reason.
Mysterious Voice: the stone you are looking at is no ordinary megastone. What you’re looking at is a solar stone, an ancient stone that have great light magic inside.
Valo Drawer: s solar stone huh! That sure is cool, but hold on a second, are you the one talking inside that stone.
Mysterious Voice: yes, my spirit is trap inside of this stone, do of an evil spirit. But my ancient powers can be used to help stop the darkness for good.
Valo Drawer: so how I’m able to use this powers then.
Mysterious Voice: hold the solar stone with your hand, and mention the name …. Tealos.
Valo did what the mysterious voice said, and hold the solar stone with his hand. Deep inside he wasn’t sure if it was the right thing to do to free an ancient spirit he doesn’t know about, but seeing how Spencer keep on coming back every time, he going to need all the help he can get. Valo know he going to regret this later, so he close his eyes and yell the name out load. Before he know it, the Bright light came back again, and shine the entire hallway. The light was able to blind everyone that was nearby, even blind Rebecca who was hiding from the side of the corner hallway. Valo gotten use to see through the light, and he was able to see a tall figure standing in front of him. Valo Drawer a female Renamon, wearing some sort of warrior outfit with ancient text on them. Valo was lost for words of what going on, and wanted to ask the mysterious renamon to see if she was the one that he summon. But just before he even had the chance, he notice that Spencer wasn’t standing still anymore, and was coming straight at them. Valo try to warn the female renamon to watch out, but she already know what happening, and she was able to stop Spencer in his track by summoning an energy shield in front of her. Spencer was mad that the energy shield block his way, so he kept on scratching the shield to break. The renamon look at Spencer and smile to herself being amuse of the situation. She held out one hand, summon a bright magic aura. She glare at Spencer for a second, and then attack him with one swoop. Without harming him, she was able to remove the dark stone that was inside of him, and help free Spencer from the dark stone magic. Valo was relief that Spencer was fine, but he still remember that he had to deal with a strange women that was standing in front of him. He notice that the female renamon was holding the dark stone in her hand, sealing it in a barrier of light. She started to chant some ancient words, which made the dark stone to act up, and soon you know it, the stone turn into dust. The female renamon was happy that she was able to finish her task destroying the stone, but she look at her side, and see the young Valo Drawer that she was talking to. She nearly forgot that she was meant to help him, but she was in a situation that the dark stone was going to harm him more, if they do the special thing before he had the chance. Valo walk up to her, and see if she was ok.
Valo Drawer: excuse you me miss, you don’t happen to be the very stone that I was talking to earlier before.
Female renamon: indeed I am, young one. The very stone that was talking to earlier of how to dodge properly. Do I have to admit, meeting you in person gave me a good reason why you stink at dodging. You are …. Quite short.
Valo Drawer: ………… and you ruin the moment. I’m trying to see if you’re ok, and all you care about my height. What the big deal with that.
Female renamon: my apology the one call Valo. I tend to act a bit differently with people, especially for an ancient spirit like myself rarely talk to mortals.
Valo Drawer: an ancient spirit, so you happened to be the one that call yourself Tealos.
Tealos: that right, my name is Tealos. I’m an ancient guardian warrior of the Solar Stone, and you Valo Drawer, are the very hero that I’m looking for.
Valo Drawer was shock to hear that he was the hero she was looking for. He wonder what sort of mission she going to give him, but one thing for sure things was going to be interesting.
End Episode One
A few feet away from where they are standing, a mysterious female dragon with wings of different elements was floating in mid-air watching over the battle she just saw. She was writing down some notes, recording everything she just saw. She was fascinated of what she just saw, and was hoping to see more battle like that. When she was done writing her notes, she pull out a little tape recorder, and start recording her research.
Sapphirus: day one thousand, and thirty-five, or was it thirty-four. Any case, after many months researching this planets inhabits creatures, I try my best to research the best I can about the creatures abilities, and finding the energy source I pick up before. At first I barely find anything at all, until I run into a battle that I thought to be interesting to see. Beyond that, I was able to sense the same energy source I felt before, and I was shock to see it. Seem like my research have gotten interesting, and I’m already excited to see more to come.

Wow I finally finish writing the last part, and had to admit the ending could have done better. That what you get for trying to finish thing lol. I hope you all like the story so far, and I try to continue the next episode soon.

Inside the main office at the Pokémon academy, headmaster Thomas was busy reading some important paper work that were left on his desk from his secretary Serenity. While he look through the paperwork, a fellow student name Valo Drawer was sitting on a chair in front of the headmaster desk, while one of the school nurse try to stitch up his wounds from the fight he was in. Valo had no problem dealing with the school nurses since he go there every other fight he was in, but one school nurse he didn't like the most was a Zoroark name Nurse Luna, who have a bad habit to tease her patients in bitter pain. Valo remember one time she help a student that had a broken tail bone, the only way she could help the students, is by trying to cut it out. That student was so scared of going to the nurse office that had to have their parents to pick them up from school and go to town instead. Valo was still thinking about that student event, he didn't notice that Nurse Luna was halfway done stitching him up. She grab one more roll of bandages and cover up the stitch area.
Nurse Luna: I had to admit Valo, you sure know how to get into trouble all the time.
Valo Drawer: well trouble always find a way to get to me. Especially when my friends in danger.
Nurse Luna: well at least you try to help your friends, instead of the other way. I have to admit, I'm still surprised you have flinched that much when I started stitch up your open wound. Most of the kids be afraid of me, because of those rumors.
Valo Drawer: I well aware of those rumors, but the headmaster told me that you’re the head nurse little sister, and you have to be on your best behavior, since the headmaster is your brother in-law
Nurse Luna: well look who have a pair. Then I guess you have no problem for me to give you *she grab a syringe from her nurse bag* your flu shot at the rear.
Valo Drawer: ........
Thomas the writer: Luna, I need you to heal him, not scare him to death.
Nurse Luna: I'm just having a little fun Thomas. No harm done.
Thomas the writer: well try to keep the fun down, I need to get these paperwork done, before the next bell ring.
Nurse Luna: fair enough. I already done stitching him up. All he need to do now is to keep himself from another fight, or else.
Valo Drawer: I try to behave, just to make sure you won't try heal me again.
Nurse Luna: with your reputation Valo, that won't be too long.
Nurse Luna laugh to herself, before using her ability to teleport out from the room. Valo was relief that she was gone, and he could relax for a moment. Before he had a chance to relax, he look and notice the headmaster was staring at him, and he wasn't pleased of earlier event he was in. Valo try his best to smile, hoping the headmaster give him a slap on the back.
Valo Drawer: greeting headmaster Thomas, I hope I'm not keeping you away from anything busy.
Thomas the writer: well in was in the middle check these paperwork that Serenity brought to me, but I do have some time to talk to you about the fight you was in at the cafeteria.
Valo Drawer: well before get very upset, sir. I was protecting my friend two greedy brothers.
Thomas the writer: I know you was protecting your friends, and I understand that clearly. But you was facing one of the Averon brothers. Of all people to face with.
Valo Drawer: I know sir, but those guys won't leave my friend alone. They were bugging my friend Nina for lunch they think she owed them, and I was only doing what i think was right.
Thomas the writer: by putting your nose in people business, as always.
Valo Drawer: I did said I was sorry.
Thomas the writer: .... sigh, I know you’re sorry about the fight you was in. The same apology you told me since you first started this school.
Valo Drawer: .......
Thomas the writer: Valo, you know I'm not mad at you, just worried about your safety. Ever since your parents when they went on an important mission three years ago. I kept a promise to make sure that you be ok, and staying out of trouble. But now with your track record of getting into fights, you’re making my job a lot harder to keep that promise.
Valo Drawer: I know sir, and I'm truly am sorry to make your difficult. But I can't just sit on the sideline and see people in danger. You of all people once a rescue hero, you should know that feeling.
Thomas the writer: I do, almost every day, but those days are behind me right now. I'm just a headmaster who doing his best to help all the students that needed.
Valo Drawer: and I'm grateful that you been able to help me, more than anyone would.
Thomas the writer: thank Valo, I'm happy I was able to help you, but don't think you’re getting away from the fight you was in Valo.
Valo Drawer: darn, was kinda hoping you would. What sort of punishment I'm going to get this time.
Thomas the writer: just the usual detention won't do it anymore. The next few weeks you’re going to meet our guidance counselor for one on one talk.
Valo Drawer: aww man, not the guidance counselor. I heard she give big hug that nearly break people back.
Thomas the writer: come on now, Gemly isn't so bad. Sure she can be a hugger, but Gemly a good listener. Bedside, this is the only option you got here. So take it, or leave it.
Valo Drawer: .... Sigh, alright Headmaster Thomas, I do it. I'm still not going to like this.
Thomas the writer: just be grateful this is a minor punishment you getting. For the Averon brothers on the other hand, they both going to get some serious talking, or they going to get detention.
Valo Drawer: why no expelled them instead. It will do all of us some good.
Thomas the writer: I want to do that, but since their mother is one of the board of directors of this school, I can just expelled them without a good reason. Now then, if we are done here, I need you to get going, before the bell ring.
Valo Drawer: no problem sir, I need to see if my friends doing alright anyway.
Just before he have the chance to get out from his seat, Valo heard some noise from the headmaster door. Valo look at the door and saw a shadow image of a large pokemon with a gooey figure. Valo was able to hear their voice and already know who it was.
Clara: Valo Kun, are you in there. I'm here to see you.
Valo Drawer: Oh No! Not Clara! I can't believe she was able to find me here.
Thomas the writer: well Clara is a good friend with my two daughters, so she often visits my office.
Dashie Writer: Clara, we can't go in there. You know my father going to be busy talking with someone.
Clara: I know Dashie, but I just want to know Valo kun is alright.
Valo Drawer: is there another way out of here. I'm not in the mood getting hug by her.
Thomas the writer: I don't show this to anyone other than my kids *he got up from his seat and walk over to his bookshelf. He pull one of the book, which open up a hidden passageway* I usually use this for emergency only, but since this a emergency.
Valo Drawer: Thank you sir, I so owe you one.
Thomas the writer: I put that on your I.O.U. now get going, before I changed my mind.
Valo did what the headmaster said and walk into the secret passageway. When Thomas close the passageway, he office door was barge wide open, and out came his daughter Dashie and her friend Clara on the floor. The headmaster secretary Serenity the Mewtwo float inside the office trying her best to apology to Thomas for not able to stop them from barging them inside his office.
Serenity: I'm so sorry for not able to stop them sir, I try my best to stop them, but your daughter friend insisted that she need to check up on the student you had in your office.
Thomas the writer: it quite alright Serenity, you and I both know that once Clara have her eye on someone, she not going to stop.
Clara: speaking of which, is Valo Kun is here. I was able to hear his voice a little while ago, and all I want to do is give him a big hug to make him feel better.
Thomas the writer: sorry Clara, but Valo left a little while ago. He had to get going before class starts, which you two going to be late.
Dashie Writer: don't worry father, we going to class right now. Come on Clara. We have to go.
Clara: Nooo! I need to see my Vlao Kun!
Somewhere at the other side of the hallway, Valo Drawer was able to walking down the hallway, heading for his next class. Valo was hoping to see his friends Icarus and Nina by now, but knowing that they can't be late for their classes, all he need to do is head there to meet them. While he was walking down the halls, he grab his mega stone that he have around his neck. Valo remember that his mom gave him that mega stone, before she left on her mission with his father. Valo close his eyes for a moment, seeing an images of a Lucario who happened to be his mom, and a younger self standing in front of her. He see his mom was giving him a mega stone, and she was telling him to protect it for her, so that she come back to get it. Before she left, his mother gave his younger self a big hug, and then she was gone. Valo open his eyes again, before his memories try to reach the event of what he heard about his parents. He didn't want to remember that day, all he wanted to remember that they are coming back. Valo look at the mega stone and notice something that he never seen before. Valo notice that there was some sort of ancient writing of a dead language, a language that he never heard of. But for some reason, Valo was able to read the writing, which state a name "Tealos" Before he able to finish saying the name, he heard a mysterious voice calling his name echoing the hallway.
Mysterious voice: Valo Drawer!
Valo Drawer: who said my name?
Mysterious Voice: it time to reveal your destiny.
Valo Drawer: what do you mean by that?
Mysterious voice: there is a great evil that lurk around this world, and you’re the only one that can destroy the darkness.
Valo Drawer: what sort of evil are you talking about, and why I'm the only one can do this?
Mysterious voice: be ready to see the light Valo Drawer. It is the key to save the world.
Valo was trying to talk more to the mysterious voice, but so far he didn't hear anything else. Valo was confused of what the voice was talking about. Saying that he had a great destiny, and a duty to stop a great evil that was coming. There was so many questions that running through his head, which he had no clue how to answer them. While his mind trying to this out, Valo over heard someone screaming across the other side of the hallway. He thought to himself it was a young girl screaming, but he know one person in school that scream like that. Valo should call for someone for help, but the time he try to that, it would be too late. Valo know he had to keep his promise to stay out of trouble, but his instincts can't stop him, and all he can do is head over there, and help that student in danger.
Across the other side of the hallway of the school. A Persian name Soven was running away from someone, who was trying to harm him. Soven thought the pokemon he saw was familiar to him, but instead try to harm him in a dangerous way. Soven look behind to see if they were following him, but before he was able to look back, Soven trip on the rug, and face landed on the floor. After lifting his head from the floor, Socen look behind him to see if the person was still behind him. He didn't see anyone at all, but he was able to hear some footsteps echoing the hallway. Soven was scared to see who was attacking him, he even plan to plead to mysterious attacker from not harming. When he heard the footsteps gotten alot louder, Soven was able to see who it was. But instead of being a scary pokemon, it was none other than his little brother Spencer. Soven was relief it was his dumb little brother, but also upset that Spencer try to scare him. He was about to walk up to him and give his little brother a piece of his mind. He notice something strange was going on, and he felt a draft in the air. Soven look at his little brother, and notice a dark aura was gathering around him. He seen his brother eyes was glowing a strange aura, something he never seen before. Soven was afraid that something was wrong with his little brother and ask him if he was ok.
Soven: Spencer, what the matter with you!
Spencer: .....
Soven: alright Spencer, enough games already. I want you to stop acting tough and let go.
Spencer: .....
Soven: are you even listening to your older brother. I ask you again to get over here this instant, or.
Before he got a chance to finish his sentence, Soven notice that his little brother was already close up to him, and place his paw to cover his brother mouth. Soven couldn't say anything at all except mumble his words. Soven was wondering in his mind of what Spencer was doing, and why he attacking him harshly. While his thoughts figuring out of what going on, a few feet where the two brothers are fighting. Rebecca the Dolphix was watching them from a distant, enjoying her little work she had done. She knew Spencer was the perfect target to be control by the dark stone, and all it took by a few words to trick him. Rebecca know that she should have him looking for something for her master, but once she notice that Spencer saw her. At the in the hall, she figured that some fun should be in order. Rebecca continued watching the two brothers, and waited for Spencer to end the job. Just before Spencer try to end his brother with his sharp claws. He heard someone was calling his named, which made him lose his attention on his older brother. Spencer look and saw another student from a distant, and that student was none other than Valo Drawer. Rebecca was a little surprised to see Valo here, she thought she would be with her father for one of his lectures. Part of her was pleased that he was here, which would be a good time for Spencer to teach him a lesson as well. Valo look at Spencer and notice was wrong with him. He was able to see some dark aura was gathering around his body, and it was getting stronger by the minute. Valo wasn't sure what going on, but he try to talk to Spencer, to see if he can stop him from whatever he was doing.
Valo drawer: Hey Spencer, what you think you’re doing. Are you actually trying to harm your own brother?
Spencer: ......
Valo drawer: come on man, I know your bro is a total jerk, but what your about to do to him, isn't going to make you happy.
Soven: ah Valo, I know you’re trying to talk to him, but I don't think my little brother going to listen to you.
Valo Drawer: what do you mean?
Soven: I don’t know, but it look like Spencer is not acting like himself. Like someone is controlling his mind, and force him to attack us.
Valo drawer: maybe you are on to something there Soven. There could be another student nearby using hypnosis, and using him like a puppet.
Soven: if there was someone doing that, I would have seen them by now. *he look and saw Spencer held his claw by his neck* Look Valo, I know we have our differences in the past Valo, but would it be nice of you by saving my life.
Valo Drawer: …… well, part of me would have done it right now, but then again you try to have your brother harming my friends, and trying to take their lunch money.
Soven: alright, I get the picture. I promised to not mess with your friends for lunch money, ever again.
Valo Drawer: .... that a good start, but I feel like you could do more than that.
Soven: what more do you want me to *he was cut off when Spencer claws was very close to his neck* ok, ok, I promised to not take any more lunch money from anyone ever again.
Valo drawer: Soven, you got yourself a deal.
Valo Drawer ran toward Spencer and shove him of the side, which made him tumble on the ground. Valo help Soven to get up from the floor, so he can run away from danger. From a distant where they are, Rebecca wasn't happy of what going on, and was wondering why Spencer isn't stopping them. She was plan to head over there to do it herself, but if one of the see her there, they would blow her cover, and her master plans as well. After helping Soven, Valo look back at Spencer and try again to talk to him some sense. Before he even got close to him, he heard the same mysterious voice spoke to him again, trying to warn him something.
Mysterious voice: tread carefully young Valo. The one you want to help is a threat.
Valo Drawer: what do you mean he a threat. Specer just acting weird is all.
Mysterious voice: sense the dark, Young Valo. Great evil, always hide in the shadows.
Valo Drawer:I don't know who you are, but now you’re talking nonsense to.
Before he could end his sentence, Valo sense the dark aura from Spencet, but this time it was alot stronger. Valo Drawer jump feet from, but before he able to landed, Spencer was able there and kick him on the back. Valo would have fell to the ground when being kick, but he was lucky to land on his feet. He was shock to see that Spencer was able to move like that. While his mind was thinking about what just happened, Valo didn't notice that Spencer was right next to him again. He was about to attack him with his claws attack, but Valo was able to summon his bone staff and block it. Once he able to block it, Valo able to a few inches, and prepare himself for another attack. Valo is trying to figure how Spencer is so fast like that. Valo was able to hear the same voice again, telling him something he need to know.
Mysterious voice: Valo Drawer, are you alright?
Valo Drawer: I'm doing alright, except I'm having some random voice talking to me, while I'm figuring out what is wrong with Spencer.
Mysterious voice: have you not sense the darkness aura from him.
Valo drawer: Darkness aura, is that what going with Spencer.
Mysterious voice: yes, the one name Spencer is possessed by an evil object that is known as the darkstone.
Valo Drawer: Darkstone! What the heck is a Darkstone?
Mysterious voice: I would tell you more about it, but it seem like the one you call Spencer is coming at you.
Valo wasn't sure what the voice meant until he saw Spencer running towards him to do more scratch attack. Valo able to use his bone staff to block a few of his attack, but one of the claws came close and nearly rip his uniform. Valo Drawer wasn't sure relief that he didn't get hurt, but still wondering why Spencer would be crazy enough to harm him like that. From a distant from the fight, Rebecca was really enjoying watching the battle was going, and was curious of whom it going to win. Part of her want Spencer to win, but it seem like it going to take a while to finish Valo off. While she watching the match, a dark void appeared by the side of the wall, then two green eyes staring at her. Rebecca pause for a moment, feeling a cold draft in the air. Rebecca already know about this sort of feeling to well, knowing that her master was nearby. She look at the side of the wall, and see the two green eyes of her Dark Lord Dexerus was here. Rebecca try to act cool, but her body was acting nervously knowing she was in trouble. Rebecca bow to her master, and said some pleasing words to him.
Rebecca: Master, I’m surprised to see you here. I thought for sure that you was resting for a bit.
Dexerus: I was going to, but part of me wanted to see if you was using the new Darkstone I gave you on the new victim already.
Rebecca: I already have master. Right now Spencer is being control by the Darkstone, and so far the stone is acting a lot better than the last one then better before.
Dexerus: that is good to hear, and by the sense of thing, I can feel that meowth is about to end someone life soon.
Rebecca: indeed master, he just have one minor obstacle to deal with, and we will continue our search for the particular item you wanted.
Dexerus: Excellent! Make sure you have him finish the job quickly, and search for the item I seek. Oh! And Rebecca?
Rebecca: yes master?
Dexerus: Don’t fail me!
After hearing those words from Dexerus, Rebecca gulp down knowing that she got to do a job well done for her master, or else the punishment she will get from him would be worst then any detention she would get. She look back at the fight, and see if Spencer was able to finish off Valo already. Back where the two students were fighting each other, Valo was doing his best to find ways of stopping Spencer without harming him, but so far talking wasn’t working, and all Spencer want to do is harm him. Valo had no problem dodging his attack, but having some issue dealing with the mysterious voice who was giving him tips on how to fight, while trying to survive.
Mysterious Voice: careful one call Valo. The one with the Darkstone almost harm with his claws.
Valo Drawer: thanks for the tips, I sort of notice when he put a hole in my shirt already.
Mysterious Voice: you did not need to act that way. All I’m doing is help guide you and getting away from harm.
Valo Drawer: well it nice of you doing that, but I been through a lot of fights, and know how to protect myself from danger.
Mysterious Voice: if that so, then I guess you won’t need me to warn you about the one with the Darkstone, is right behind you.
Confuse of what she meant, but he look behind his back and see that Spencer was there, and about to attack him. Valo able to jump out of the way in time, before he even gotten hurt. Valo breathing heavily, knowing that he been moving around a lot. He was able to hear the mysterious voice again, telling him that he should be grateful.
Mysterious Voice: you should be grateful that my tip help saved your life, the one call Valo
Valo Drawer: ok, I’m grateful that you saved my life, but Spencer is still on the offensive.
Mysterious Voice: there is an ancient saying my ancestors once said. For a great offensive, you need a greater defense.
Valo Drawer: …. I don’t think it go like that.
Mysterious Voice: just keep on blocking his attack, and find an opening.
Valo Drawer: ok, ok, you don’t need to shout like that.
After finish talking with the mysterious voice, Valo went back facing Spencer, and try to take him down again. Valo resummons his bone staff and stood in a defense position. Spencer notice that Valo wasn’t moving at all, and it was an opportunity to stack him. He use his claws to do some damage against him, but Valo was lucky to block every single attack. While blocking his attack, Valo was able to find an opening, and use his bone staff to make a major hit on Spencer. Spencer was able to felt that, and stop moving for a second. Valo use his bone staff to do several more attack on Spencer, until he made a final blow to his head, which made Spencer knock out cold. Valo Drawer was relief that he was able to stop Spencer, but part of him felt sorry that he had to hurt him like that. He heard the mysterious voice was talking to him again, letting him know that he need to keep his guard up.
Mysterious Voice: you best be ready, the one call Valo. Your fight is not over yet.
Valo Drawer: what are you talking about? I knock out Spencer with the hardest attack I ever done. There is no way for him to get up from that.
Mysterious Voice: Really! Then I guess the pokemon that trying to get up from the floor, might say otherwise.
Valo look and notice that Spencer was getting up again, but this time his body was moving in a twisted way. Valo see that the attack he done on spencer was still there, but getting heal up by a dark aura that surrounded his body. Valo Drawer was starting to freaking out, not knowing what to do next. After seeing how Spencer is managing to take several hits, and still kept on getting back up, there was no way to stop him.
Valo Drawer: this is impossible, there no way for Spencer to get up from that.
Mysterious Voice: what you say is true, but thanks to the power of the dark stone that possessing him. That pokemon won’t stop fighting you, until one of you stop moving.
Valo Drawer: so this dark stone you been talking about, is there a way to remove it from Spencer.
Mysterious Voice: there is a way, but in order to know how to use, you must mention my name.
Valo Drawer: what do you mean mention your name?
Mysterious Voice: in order to stop the darkness powers of the dark stone, you must mention my name. Once you do that, you will received an ancient powers of light that will defeat the darkness.
Valo Drawer: ok, sound easy enough, but will this powers will harm Spencer. I really don’t care about him for being a jerk, but I don’t want to hurt him either.
Mysterious Voice: do not worry, this ancient power only harm the darkness, never the person that is possess by it.
Valo Drawer: well then, if that the case. How I mention your name, and gain this power?
When he was asking the mysterious voice a question, he notice a bright light appear out of nowhere, which was blinding him for a bit. Valo try his best to see, and notice the megastone that was around his neck. The Bright light dimmer a bit, which allow Valo to see a lot better. Valo was shock to notice the very megastone that his mother gave to him, was actually something special. Valo continue looking at the megastone, until he hear the same voice was talking to him.
Mysterious Voice: the one that call himself Valo, are you still there.
Valo Drawer: yeah I’m still here. I’m just trying to figure out what going on, and why my megastone is shining for some reason.
Mysterious Voice: the stone you are looking at is no ordinary megastone. What you’re looking at is a solar stone, an ancient stone that have great light magic inside.
Valo Drawer: s solar stone huh! That sure is cool, but hold on a second, are you the one talking inside that stone.
Mysterious Voice: yes, my spirit is trap inside of this stone, do of an evil spirit. But my ancient powers can be used to help stop the darkness for good.
Valo Drawer: so how I’m able to use this powers then.
Mysterious Voice: hold the solar stone with your hand, and mention the name …. Tealos.
Valo did what the mysterious voice said, and hold the solar stone with his hand. Deep inside he wasn’t sure if it was the right thing to do to free an ancient spirit he doesn’t know about, but seeing how Spencer keep on coming back every time, he going to need all the help he can get. Valo know he going to regret this later, so he close his eyes and yell the name out load. Before he know it, the Bright light came back again, and shine the entire hallway. The light was able to blind everyone that was nearby, even blind Rebecca who was hiding from the side of the corner hallway. Valo gotten use to see through the light, and he was able to see a tall figure standing in front of him. Valo Drawer a female Renamon, wearing some sort of warrior outfit with ancient text on them. Valo was lost for words of what going on, and wanted to ask the mysterious renamon to see if she was the one that he summon. But just before he even had the chance, he notice that Spencer wasn’t standing still anymore, and was coming straight at them. Valo try to warn the female renamon to watch out, but she already know what happening, and she was able to stop Spencer in his track by summoning an energy shield in front of her. Spencer was mad that the energy shield block his way, so he kept on scratching the shield to break. The renamon look at Spencer and smile to herself being amuse of the situation. She held out one hand, summon a bright magic aura. She glare at Spencer for a second, and then attack him with one swoop. Without harming him, she was able to remove the dark stone that was inside of him, and help free Spencer from the dark stone magic. Valo was relief that Spencer was fine, but he still remember that he had to deal with a strange women that was standing in front of him. He notice that the female renamon was holding the dark stone in her hand, sealing it in a barrier of light. She started to chant some ancient words, which made the dark stone to act up, and soon you know it, the stone turn into dust. The female renamon was happy that she was able to finish her task destroying the stone, but she look at her side, and see the young Valo Drawer that she was talking to. She nearly forgot that she was meant to help him, but she was in a situation that the dark stone was going to harm him more, if they do the special thing before he had the chance. Valo walk up to her, and see if she was ok.
Valo Drawer: excuse you me miss, you don’t happen to be the very stone that I was talking to earlier before.
Female renamon: indeed I am, young one. The very stone that was talking to earlier of how to dodge properly. Do I have to admit, meeting you in person gave me a good reason why you stink at dodging. You are …. Quite short.
Valo Drawer: ………… and you ruin the moment. I’m trying to see if you’re ok, and all you care about my height. What the big deal with that.
Female renamon: my apology the one call Valo. I tend to act a bit differently with people, especially for an ancient spirit like myself rarely talk to mortals.
Valo Drawer: an ancient spirit, so you happened to be the one that call yourself Tealos.
Tealos: that right, my name is Tealos. I’m an ancient guardian warrior of the Solar Stone, and you Valo Drawer, are the very hero that I’m looking for.
Valo Drawer was shock to hear that he was the hero she was looking for. He wonder what sort of mission she going to give him, but one thing for sure things was going to be interesting.
End Episode One
A few feet away from where they are standing, a mysterious female dragon with wings of different elements was floating in mid-air watching over the battle she just saw. She was writing down some notes, recording everything she just saw. She was fascinated of what she just saw, and was hoping to see more battle like that. When she was done writing her notes, she pull out a little tape recorder, and start recording her research.
Sapphirus: day one thousand, and thirty-five, or was it thirty-four. Any case, after many months researching this planets inhabits creatures, I try my best to research the best I can about the creatures abilities, and finding the energy source I pick up before. At first I barely find anything at all, until I run into a battle that I thought to be interesting to see. Beyond that, I was able to sense the same energy source I felt before, and I was shock to see it. Seem like my research have gotten interesting, and I’m already excited to see more to come.

Tbh I loved Spencer getting back at Soven, he's been such an ass to him, just because he's older than him... family bullying succks. I love Valo's reaction towards Clara, it's amusing as hell, he's doing a lot of good in this chapter, I feel sorry for him getting all these punishments just for protecting ppl, and the Headmaster not stopping the bullying like she should be. Reminds me of how schools use to be in the past when it came to bullying.
Indeed, the headmaster is trying his best to stop these nonsense, but it a bit hard for him to deal with when their mother is part of the school board and would do everything their powers to make a living hell for him or the other teacher. Also yes it good Soven got what coming for messing with his kid brother, now he just have to show some respect.
