Hexen (Inktober 2018, Piece 22)
Inktober piece based off of the game "Hexen, Beyond Heretic" - the 2nd in the Heretic Series of classic games - Some of the best games you could ever play. If you haven't had the joy of playing them, I highly recommend them!

You sure about that? I was always under the impression that it was a Dark Bishop. Daedolon only has 1 "spike" on each of his shoulders, as where the Dark Bishops have multiple. He (Daedolon), also by default carries his staff, as where the Dark Bishops summon magic from the center of their bodies, using both of their hands to manifest it (much like the cover). Daedolon's eyes are also green, as where the Dark Bishop's are red, which to me further pushes that this is a Dark Bishop, and not Daedolon. I can't seem to find concrete evidence of it anywhere that this is one character or the other - but there are too many things pointing to a Dark Bishop for me to ignore, personally!
Here's a bit of a comparison to explain what I'm saying :

Check out this one ^ The one on the left is the first frame of the attack preparation, the one in the middle is the second frame, and the one on the right is the final before the animation of the actual attack plays. Notice the one in the center has red eyes, just like the original cover (and unlike Daedolon's green)

Yeah probably! It's all good though bud, lol! I wish they made a cover with a high res version of Korax on it, that would have been really cool!
I've played and beat the first game (Heretic, Shadow of the Serpent Riders), and the second (Hexen, Beyond Heretic) *originally played it waaaaaaaay back on N64 lol*, and I'm just about done the Expansion to Hexen, (Deathkings of the Dark Citadel), which I found recently! :D I haven't gotten into Hexen 2 yet though, it looks like a really cool addition and last piece of the saga though!

Yeah! As for myself, I beat Heretic several times and Hexen twice; Deathkings, too. Which class do you prefer in Hexen?
I still occasionally return to the realm of D'Sparil :) I play on Doomsday engine with enhanced graphics and some control modifications (vertical aim+no autoaim).
I also tried Hexen II, but for some reason did not found it interesting, so stopped soon. And Heretic II is unfortunately a 3rd-person game, not my type at all.

Yeah, I wasn't too interested in Heretic 2 either. I personally like the Cleric the most in Hexen - the freaking ghosts are awesome! Probably the coolest weapon I've ever had in any game! Heretic was pretty fun, a little hard at first, but overall really cool! So far I like Deathkings, it's a pretty solid expansion to Hexen! I'm partially worried about Hexen 2, but I'll give it a shot before I say one way or the other :P Out of all of the games, Hexen is by far my favorite - probably one of my favorite games overall honestly!

A fun way to play is to restart every level with initial weapons and stats. That gives a nice challenge, and makes you value every weapon you find, find use for secrets you discover... I remember finding a secret place in Duke Nukem 3D and a cool gun in it - just to be unable to take it, already having full ammo! So then I decided that beating every level from zero is what the game is built for, you discover that any level is actually designed for that.

Yeah I can see the cleric being a popular choice, I really like all of his weapons to be honest - but I really like the ghosts ;p
Yep, Heretic and Hexen are both built on the Doom Engine, so that makes perfect sense ^.^ As soon as I'm done this latest commission here, I'm gonna have to jump back into Deathkings and see if I can't beat it so I can jump onto Hexen 2!
