A drawing I did on a black sketchbook a few months back, that I didn't want to upload since I was having difficulties and frustrations due to varying quality whenever I pictured and scanned.
From the forest, comes stories of those who traverse the night. The Midnight Children.
Those who speak of them, say their name comes from the petrified remains of the Night Mother. Who is said to have sacrificed her own life energies just to ensure her children, who she sensed were weakened and close to death, lived as she gave birth to them.
Travellers who move along the lands at night have tales of mysterious blue fire suddenly coming alive near them, and the fires' obscured but identifiable handlers, who have been described as draconic peoples of varying gender, who have helped lead the traveller to safe havens, and disappearing as soon as the traveller has reached safety.
