Damn. Amon is basically toast. Let's be real here. He's not getting out of this alive, or at least not unmaimed.
This comic is about to start edging into social/societal/military psychological horror.
You know your fave character is gonna get killed. He knows it. His boss knows it. His lover knows it. And there's SHIT anyone can do. Especially if the Cathazra catch wind that Amon is Luther's favorite. And they WILL catch wind of it. That's just the way it works when you apply Murphy's Law to armies and not to machines.

Amons death probably leads to Luther sorting some bastards out and taking possession of the other slaves. Its what military types, especially combat arms do.
Attack someones lover or even their pet dog and there is no fortress that can save you and no rock you can hind under that vengence will not find you.

That happened to me too, and I suspect it's a common tactic.
It enables the ones in the power position to absolve themselves of any responsibility. If you do say another name, they can tell that person that it was your idea, not theirs. Conversely, if you don't play that game, they can tell themselves that they gave you the option and you didn't take it, so you must be okay with it...either way, their conscience is clear...
I'm sorry you had to go through that. It's a total no-win.

Yeah, if I was Zakkra and I wanted to leak part of my plan to Luther this is pretty much exactly how I'd do it. Figure one of Luther's men might visit a brothel and be told of the horrible plot (but who'd have thought it would go so well that Luther himself is a patron?) This is quite the devious plot.
Manjusha is doing more than what we can see.
She has been rightfully opposed to the whole deal from the start - knowingly sending slaves and servants to be slaughtered and thus violating the treaty and breaking the law. Her Mother has expressly forbidden anyone in the clan from telling anyone about the transaction. "Not a soul", she said.
On the same page, she also corrected Manjusha when she said "You don't have to live with these people like I do!"
To which, she replied, "'Property', Manjusha. The only people on this island is your clan. If goods are damaged or spoiled, we throw them away."
So based on her Mother's logic, Manjusha is informing a piece of property that it is being sold to be destroyed, along with other pieces of property among the clan, effectively telling him EXACTLY what went down. Her Mother even directly dismissed the fact that the servants could and would ask to whom they are being sold, like Amon just did "They won't be alive long enough to complain!", I believe her words were.
So for all intents and purposes, Manjusha is following her Mother's commands while also taking a chance on Amon that he will do the right thing that she doesn't have the guts to do.

Oh they're only going to eat one leg, you've got two anyway those things in between are the oyster-appetizers and sausage, and maybe roasted fur-filet De' tail. Sheesh, it's not like you are good at doing poorly what you've been doing the last eight years, maybe they will give you a nice wooden peg to stand on later, look on the bright side you won't need to sell your ass anymore!
OK rereading my comment, it sounded way to harsh and wasn't intended to critize you. I am just so angry at the situation there. He has to swallow a really bitter pill here. And he has no say in this whatsoever. And yeah you're right, he takes this like he should in front of his owner. I just hope he won't keep it a secret and they'll figure something out.
See with anyone else it would be 'oh this is only book 2 of course one of the main charters won't die...oh yeah it's Rukis well fuck'
Really though very sly, thats powerful and forbidden information he's just been given, told to the right ears theres a chance someone could put a stop to it.
But will those ears hear/believe it and will there be time for it to be given across
I think most of your readers are masochists, they enjoy the heartache you are capable of dishing out.

You know Luther will be told by Amon...after all, they've been seeing each other on a regular basis for a while.
If nothing else, but to let Luther know the his "companion" will no longer be working here.
Me personally, I hope he does tell Luther and Luther goes after Manjusha's mother.
