PROJECT WADJET
Project Wadjet focuses on creating a cheaper, faster, and safer method of surveying multiple worlds in multiple universes before manned exploration is even done.
In order to achieve this, the dedicated researchers of Project Wadjet have created probes designated TARPs (Trans-universal Automated Research Probes), which are designed to travel on a trajectory that causes them to traverse random worlds and universes.
This prevents a TARP probe from studying a world for an extended period of time, but it is compensated by having extremely fast programs and equipment that allow them to capture and process data of a world’s environment, flora, fauna, inhabitants, and all the way to chemical composition and biology, resulting in 52 YB of data in a single run.
As an example of how powerful are the technologies of Project Wadjet, below are individuals who have been, as accurately as possible, identified by TARP-0 on its first test run:
Name: Burning Leaves
Sex: Male
Species: Northern Strider Wolf
World: Wadjet 1 d
Description: A hunter belonging to the Lakeeater tribe. Observed to be highly protective of his tribe and family. Appears to be a son of one of the twelve leaders of his tribe. First successfully identified individual who was isolated from data gathered by TARP-0.
Name: Taga-dagat
Sex: Female
Species: Great Haribon
World: Wadjet 13 c
Description: The current queen of the Fourth Haribon Empire. A benevolent ruler who managed to reform and strengthen her nation after an unknown cataclysmic event it had unwittingly caused. It was noted by researchers that this individual rates 4.7 on the Sourceweaving Index, resulting in her noticing, and having an interest in, TARP-0’s entry into her universe.
Name: Neraaki
Sex: Female
Species: Western Zabunglak, kobold-like species
World: Wadjet 19 g IV (Tai Hamnouk)
Description: A master sourceweaver who hails from the Thanauturu people. Scoring 6.8 on the Sourceweaving Index, Neraaki is one of the most powerful sourceweaving individuals ever discovered. Curiously, even with her score, Neraaki was unable to detect TARP-0’s entry into her universe.
Name: Walun
Sex: Female
Species: Human/Northern Sangkitu wyvern
World: Wadjet 32 e
Description: A woman belonging to the Samangbundok tribe. This individual is the first detection of a human by TARP-0. Of note, is her hybrid biology, which exists as a result of her universe’s humanity co-existing with Drakon-type biological entities.
Name: Rashiki
Sex: Female
Species: Tiger demon
World: Wadjet 121 d (Nuhasunggusa)
Description: A nomadic woman who is one of the many benign demonic entities inhabiting her world. Rashiki was observed to be pregnant with a litter of 5 cubs, and was last seen going into labor as TARP-0 exited her universe.
Name: Angiru
Sex: Male
Species: Jawarika, cobra-like species
World: Wadjet 217 f
Description: A painter, midwife, bard and record keeper of the Sawi tribe. Observation of data patterns indicate that Angiru is highly respected by his people. Angiru was observed to have a Sourceweaving Index score of 4.8, and possesses limited foresight abilities as he held up a tablet with a question painted on it as TARP-0 pointed its equipment at his world.
Name: Danau
Sex: Female
Species: Southern Water drakhoni
World: Tehav, previously discovered and surveyed 2 days prior
Description: A warrioress belonging to the Ombak-Ombak tribe. Noted to wear sourceweave-treated body paint that allows for significant amplification of strength, agility and stamina.
The discovery of multiple types of fauna and flora, multiple individuals and societies has since resulted in Project Wadjet technologies being implemented in exploration programs ever since TARP-0’s test run was declared a success. Of importance, however, is that the technologies of Project Wadjet have been repeatedly improved and refined as to heavily limit psionic and private intrusion of individual entities, in order to comply with organizational, and personnel, ethics, and numerous interuniversal laws.
