Subject matter: Concept for Psuedo Manitou
Materia Artistica: Brush Pens and Pigma microns
Reffernces: stuff in my head
Notes: This is a piece that i did for Psuedo Manitou in an art trade. and like any good hindu like image it is full of meaning. the objects in his hands have meaning
the book is of course knowledge
the flame is to burn away all obscuring things
the lotus with the water drop is for clarity of thought and enlightenemnet
the hands praying with beads is dedication
the spear is from inspired by many of the shamanic tradtions i follow where it is the Power of the shaman in a deep sence though usually not a physical thing it is something one has on a spritual journey. it is the will manifest. within the blade made of amber is a butterfly which speaks of transformation and jounrey through the realms of life and death
the sword is to cut down lies and to cleave to the heart of a matter.
the scales are for justice and are balanced with the feather of Ma'at the goddess of justice and truth of the khemeitc faith
the Halo behind is a measure of personal power and a symbol of the life force
the rock he stands on is elephantine in shape mostly for his digging up the truth behind many of the republican scandals and his casting down of Bush
the Shrine Gate behind him signifies the pathway to peace and simplicity (much like how his art can convey so much in a single sweeping undulating line. though oft his stuff is complexe it is also simple)
His antlers come from my fondness of the Great Horned One as male principal and his more canine like facial features from Coyote but combined to have other features as well signifing he is not of this world
