So, yesterday has been a super shitty day for reasons I won't get into, and so this was pretty much vent art I guess. Enjoy :P
Vent art or not, this is something that really happened to Shadi when she was still a child. Shadi and her mother, together with every person in the village they lived in, were property of a landlord, even though they were not the typical slaves who are chained and forced to work all day. They were trated more like serfs, forced to live in the lord's lands and to give away a huge part of their harvest. One day the landlord needed money, so he decided to sell part of his slaves, cattle and other property.
Zareen, Shadi's mother, was among those who were sold.
Shadi remained alone, and she was given to her uncle Javed. He was an extremely unstable and violent person, who was struggling to keep his family out of misery, and he was not happy in the slightest about having to waste food for his bastard niece.
This was the worst part of Shadi's life. She was starved, and regularly beaten for whatever reason, and one day her uncle even broke her left arm. She went from being a happy and rebellious child to a half-broken mess, constantly afraid and convinced of being a terrible person who actually deserved this treatment.
One day she snapped out of it and just ran, and never returned.

It is sad to hear about your bad day. But, as Domis said, we are always ready to listen to you and to cheer you up. Have a free hug and smile)
That sketch is good as always. Athmospheric and dramatic. Poor Shadi. I hope that she'll reunite with her mother in the comic.
Do not think that you annoy us with your drawings and stories. I look forward to every update and response from you. Your art is amazing. Just keep creating and don't worry about it.
Pss, do you remember that said that I have an idea of making a strategy board game about the Beggar Kings? I'm developing this idea and waiting for a chance to tell you more about it. You answered that you have nearly no experience in board games. Don't worry - these games are very different and interesting, like videogames. Different genres, themes. I can recommend you some to start with, if you want.
