It took the badger quite a while to swallow him, if they made enough noise and started to dig their way in the badger might have coughed him up and fled into its tunnels. Worst case they would have recovered his body and caught/killed the badger. The only reason it got to eat and digest Bobby is his friends suck. 83

Poor bobby. Well at least he will be remembered as badger fat, but sadly only the badger will remember it.

If nothing else, the badger is clearly far more appreciative of Bobby's company than his "friends" ever were. Evident by the fact that the badger is still smiling even while asleep.

I know I said this already, but it warrants repeating: based on the amount of effort he invested, and how much bliss he is in after the fact, he must have been motivated to get Bobby inside him by a whole lot more than just basic hunger instincts.

Badger: "Best day ever. . . Thank you God. My life's complete."

Well technically he did have something better to do...feed the wild life.
But the badger will have to eventually "let him out the backdoor" and that will be just as tough as getting him down I'd imagine.

The badger is in the situation that it is too full to move so its going to have to relieve itself right there until. It can fit through the tunnels again. Hiding the evidence is not a problem any coughed up clothes and poop are down a (presumably soon to be abandoned) tunnel. Bobby got a decent burial but most people who end up six feet underground don't have a badger for a coffin. 83

Oh trust me I know about "Texas Funerals" they happen more often than we will ever know.
But at least the badger is better than the cold crushing embrace of dirt. It is much warmer even if it is a bit more caustic.
