On a serious note, I'm going to applaud Strega for leaving the fate of Bobby ambiguous (or at least as ambiguous as one could possibly be in this context), given that there were people pushing the other way too.
And on a much less (though still to some degree) serious note, when you consider, not just how difficult and/or dangerous it was to get all of Bobby whole and alive into his belly, but the badger's very clear intent to subject himself to that difficulty and/or danger again, it's easy to assume that, at the very least, there was a lot more than basic hunger motivating him to do what he did.
"Gonna' lure me a second prey-pet so Snickers will have someone to play with while I'm out." >89

-and from now on I'm blocking everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, who anal-vores a hornet's nest because somebody somewhere had a different opinion on a FREAKIN' COMIC STRIP than the one they deem acceptable.
That goes both ways BTW; the people screaming at Strega to confirm Bobby is still alive AND the ones screaming back at them that he's dead.
It's a freakin' comic strip you morons. Enjoy it as you will and let others do the same, especially if you ever want to see the artist draw another one (which, yes, I absolutely do).

This is really a tempest in a teapot. We have one vocal complainer, one quiet one. Other than that the only hullabaloo I've seen is an unusual number of people unfavoriting my submissions, probably people who feel uncomfortable favoriting a strip with underaged prey. It's been a fun project that showed me I can do a ten+ page comic in a reasonable time. Typically I am reluctant to do multi panel pages but these have worked out well except for some art errors I'll fix when I color the remaining pages.
I received some pretty pissy PMs on the matter. So it's not just one complainer but rather one complainer that is worthy of your time.
For the record everybody: I know the only time nonfatal vore entered the Stregaverse was that one time they played host to a guest from the Teraverse. And I'm cool with that, even as it pertains to the occasional underage prey (I've only been speculating more on the nonfatal possibilities because A: there's room for more variation, and B: Strega gave me the idea of the badger referring to Bobby and/or humans as "Snickers" and I still think that's funny).
And that goes triple for this strip, which I've had no problem adding to my favorites because, like I've been saying over and over, what's great about this strip is that, regardless of the badger's intent for Bobby, it was clearly very, very important to the badger get Bobby, whole and alive, inside his belly -- important enough that he was willing to risk multiple forms of suffocation in order to do so.
And this ending caps it off perfectly because, regardless of the fact that it was very difficult and very risky to do, and of the fact that the badger is still (alive or dead) reaping the rewards of his first successful catch, here he is with every intent to try and do it all over again.
Does he have a vendetta against humans? Did he always fantasize about eating a human and that was a dream come true? Are Stregaverse humans like crack and now our poor fellow here is addicted and nothing else will do? Or does he have some sort of long term plan involving live humans in his den, which he's now expanding upon, or maybe making a second attempt after Bobby escaped (or "went to live on a farm" because the badger's *ahem* inexperienced at human-handling)?
We don't know. All we know for sure is that it's of great importance to the badger. And regardless of his intent, I can respect that kind of a commitment and don't need to know which scenario is the true one.

Probably something that has absolutely nothing to do with it, or you. Maybe because it's the holidays and a lot of people are stuck at home, maybe some of them have had a stick up about this for some time and decided now was a good time to uncork their rage, or most likely, somebody was looking around for something to troll at and one of these 10+ submissions showed up on their front page when it was new.
It calls to mind all the times you depicted dragons as prey before that guy showed up. Nothing changed cept' for a troll in the audience.

Oh, you never know. There are some that might be gullible... ;P https://youtu.be/BmvLexamrmk 'Oooh...piece of candy', indeed.
Wonderful comic, BTW.
