"In a felines world, a lot of things that many other species laugh at have a real, physical effect. Look people, just because science hasn't yet found a way to prove the existance of those walls of force that come to be once someone puts a square of tape down on the floor doesn't mean they don't exist! Yes, I know, none of the common procedures have ever been able to determine any ammount of reaction-force being exerted by pushing against them, but that's why Newton's third axiom of motion is an axiom, not a proven law, okay?

Similarly, just because there is tons of evidence supporting the hypothesis that cucumbers are perfectly harmless, that doesn't mean they couldn't do frighteningly awful stuff to a defenseless feline. Like one that has been trapped in a narrow cage of tape-square! So while you are all standing there laughing at cats being cats, I am gonna take action and safe poor, frightened Cloud from his terrible predicament! And if I ever find out who tormented this sweet boy with that cucmber, I am gonna... uh... 'return' it to them. Deeply!"
