I will admit that experimenting does help improve your skill. I'm doing that consistently with my writing and I'm seeing an improvement.

I am really happy to hear the feeling is evident, ink wash is a beautiful technique I learned long ago but never really put it to use, time to change that ^^;. A friend of mine gave me the idea of making 12 of these and set up a calendar for the next year, what you think?

Yay! Glad you like the idea, I am coonsidering doing these japanese like art once per week to give me time to visualize the idea more cleaely. If my plans go well I'll be finishing a new drawing every week ^^;.

It's funny. I never really thought much about watercolors. but this keeps drawing my eyes.

Watercolors are my favorite way of painting, it is really relaxing and I really enjoy it. You can get some nice effects if you do wet on wet like in this piece =3
