Hi, yes,side by side of a 8 year art difference.

The original was a self portrait drawn in October, a few months after I kicked my ex out and decided to be with Viv forever. (Story for another time, kids), and thus has a few hidden meanings in it.

_ Pentagram : Literally what you think it is. Strong Pagan ties and beliefs. Still as such, but I tend to keep it to myself now for a lot of reasons.
_ The Luna Rose / Dragon Tide tattoo. Luna Rose stood for me, Dragon Tide, Viv. this is a longer story in an of itself, but.. yea. Just take it at face value for what I say they stand for.

In the redraw I opted to /not/ draw either of those tattoos back in. Instead opting for a simple moon symbol that I draw on a /lot/ of things.

Redraw feels way less flat, no texture overlay, shading exists, anatomy is much better (NOT PERFECT, BUT BETTER), and overall looks a lot closer to where I wanted my art 8 years ago.

Moral: KEEP DRAWING KIDS. YOU'LL GET THERE.
