"Elizabeth caught the wind. Her wings snapped out and she sprang into the sky. She wanted to fly, fly until her body was empty. The adrenaline hit such a fever pitch that "exhilaration" wasn't going to cut it anymore. Her lungs were bursting and her body was screaming for more, blood coursed miles of veins in seconds. Faster and higher she went, she broke through the iron curtain of clouds and into the brilliant light and the clear azure sky above. Clouds shone like nascent snow, stretching to the horizon.

She could hold back no longer, she pumped her wings one last time and then stretched them out as far as she could. She hung suspended above the clouds, the pressure that had been rapidly building behind her chestplates now pushed its way up, she felt it pass through her like a warm ocean wave. She tossed back her head, inhaled deeply, and exhaled with a triumphant roar of such intensity she'd never experienced before. It was nothing like human speech or bird song, a deep-throated roar louder than the deep in the storms. Her clarion roar bellowed through the ether, loud as the roar encountering armies yield, when shouting millions shake the thundering field as the dragon sang out its exhilaration to the world."

Done in CS3, it's a scene from a story I am writing called "The Silver Throne" where the Queen of England has transformed into a Silver Dragon.
