Heart, along with every other member of the lgbt+ community was cursed upon the coming of rapture to walk the earth estranged from her humanity as those left behind rode out the apocalypse. Star was saved from the same fate simply by being inside a shrine during the event and hence was unaffected, under the protection of her own god. She's lost a lot, and she's hurting, but it's not over. She still has her Heart, and the bright fire burning within.
