Vulcania was one of the three final Warrior Beasts (the others been Golden Phoenix and the Great Mammoth) deployed by the Mikene Empire in their final desperate attack to defeat the Mazinger Army, the Science Fortress and the Photon Power, on Ep.55 of the Great Anime. He was a SuperHuman Type, with a Yellow, Orange and Red Color scheme, with a lavender face. He had a boomerang shape Torso, and fins on the side of the head, and Fin like blades on the forearms and upper legs. He had the ability of flight and could fire missiles from the square launchers on the side. His main weapon is Laser Cannon in the chest, which uses the power of the sun as energy source to power it. His real face was in the Beast's forehead.

Vulcania appears on the tail end of 55th Episode, surprising Tetsuya who launched on the Great Mazinger while flying to help Mazinger Z, Venus and Borot, who were pinned down by the Great Mammoth in the Photon Power lab. Attacking from the angle of the sun, with a barrage of rockets, some of which, hit the Condor Cockpit and hurting Tetsuya. Great crashes onto the shore where the two fight, the beast always maintaining the high ground, pinning the Mecha with a barrage of rockets and Laser beam.

Tetsuya notices that in all of its attacks, Vulcania had used his main weapon in the angle of the sun, realizing it been a power source. Great throws the Great sword, which is blasted by the main weapon, and Vulcania jumps to fight him, now out of the sun's angle Tetsuya fires the Driller Pressure Punch on the main weapon, destroying. As it fell, Great Mazinger dispatches Vulcania with Thunder Break, been destroy on impact with the ground, but the power of the explosion tossing Great into the cliff below.

The loss of Vulcania forced the Great Marshall to change tactic, taking Demonica straight to crush the Mecha, the events that would later follow would mark the destruction of both the Science Fortress and Demonica, as well the Death of Prof. Kabuto and the beginning of the end for the Mikenean High Command.
