The Quick And The Angry

Mission: 9
Objective: Capture the fox in the forest
Nishi's Note: Nail Gun
Drawing fight scenes are kinda tough but here we go. Fuxie swipes at Cooni, who lands on her arm. He digs his claws into her and rips off the band that Fuxie's had on her arm for most the series and hops onto the forked tree. Not much action for a full page!
So uh, when Fuxie got shot in the arm in the last chapter - you can see she keeps a few different protective layers around her arm, so... I guess that's my excuse why it hasn't blown off yet.

Kazootles again! Yet another sequence of moves and phrases that I never saw coming at all. This one is especially interesting as I had wondered if any sort of referance to NGG would ever come to light within this series. The poetic use of words on Cooni's part are quite epic indeed.
On another note, I bet Fuxie had no idea that Cooni could move like that. Could this power be totally all his own, or perhaps a gift given to him by Faux as his associate in bringing his murderer to justice?
Regardless, I'm curious as to how much of this Cooni is aware of and, if he is, how much he really feels about stopping what is about to happen. After all, he has seemed kind of torn and the decision to go on with this attack willingly would be like that pivotal moment in the movie The Good Son where the mom had to choose between her evil son and the boy who was new to her, but figured out her treacherous child's intentions.
Talk about a no win situation. :(

Hehe, of course! :D By the end of this chapter, I think the later mention of NGG and the situation surrounding her, as well as its relation to Mr. Raccoon, should all be a lot more clear. Same for Kamui! Aaand I even answer, or at least I think I do, where Cooni is mentally when this event occurs. :3
