My player's first permanent companions in the D&D campaign I'm hosting. From left to right they are: Eks; The sneaky snook. Hagnar; The more rational and caring one of the trio and a father figure and leader of the group. And lastly we have Rotom the baby; the little, albino kobold. Though not really a baby, Rotom is still a child and acts accordingly.
These kobolds started out as a random encounter, but my player ended up adopting them, and they've been part of his team for almost the entire campaign. This was a trend that would end up becoming a big part of our campaign, and I now have to send things on my player that he cannot befriend as to not have him adopt everything I throw at him.
