This Synx has a collar, so I am assuming it is someone’s pet. I am not entirely sure why you would want a Synx for a pet =x It would be like having a boo diddly for a pet. Whenever your head is turned around you know you or someone else is in danger. When you do see it, it will just sit there unmoving and forever staring back at you. I suggest daily cattle proddings to keep them in line, even if they are behaving. It’s the only way to be sure.

This is awesome! Synxes are creepy as hell, but equally cool and well thought-out.
Also, keeping deadly, sneaky, cunning predators as pets is awesome. You just make sure the chain is nice and short, and that the collar is loaded with explosives set to go off if the chain ever breaks.

I don't see an MP-.. Oh you gave it -color- instead.
If I ever owned one as a pet, whenever I saw it, if it had to sit and stare at me silently forever, I'd demand it do it in THAT EXACT POSITION every time, or I'd be getting the damn cattle prod. If it ever manages to behave like such as long as it's under watch, it could be used as an interesting centerpiece for any occasion!

Dude, it's cute. It's tail is smooshed into a slug shape from at the weight that's on it. What kind of a creature /could/ keep a synx as a pet? Seems like the Synx would eat them when they aren't paying attention. And would a synx /care/ that it is being kept? Would that hurt its pride? I figure most of them wouldn't care, if it gave them an advantage in getting more to eat. Seems like most of them wouldn't think anything of it unless the keeper got in their way.
Yeah...they don't make great pets. XD

I love the character itself, it's amazing honestly and the very pose tiself stands out so well. It's crazy, the expression is far from words that I can express. It's literally original, I admire it so much because it's entirly sick looking in a cool way. The details of it's structure, the curved body is magnificent! The teeth is neat, the lines are smooth and the color toning is just all so grand. I can't imagine how this came to be, but this is one valuable artwork to be proud of. Not to mention the anthro is a blend of creative combonitions, along with a slick figure and a "twisted" attraction at that. If I could add anything else to say, all i'd add is the quality is wonderful for the whole thing. This is very well done, congrats
It depends on what kind of Synx it is. A weeper (the big nasty ones who bleed all over) may evacuate it's dinner and try to eat you if it thinks you would be more appetizing, but only if it was sure it could out-muscle you. In other words you'd have to be sick or hurt already, otherwise you wouldn't be worth the risk.
Depending on which part of their body you are in contact with, they can be somewhat strong... but this cannot be measured in the same way it is for vertebrates. They are only stronger then a person if their muscle is surrounding you, so if they were coiled around your body then one could possibly be formidable. They can't hit you with any good degree of strength, probably not claw you very well either. They are strong in the way an octopus of equivalent size would be, which isn't too impressive in the scope of the animal kingdom, but still somewhat menacing to a person. There is a reason why they prey on children and sick/injured people most often, and that's because they are easier to fight.
As for looking lanky, you have to remember they're all muscle.. they have some cartilage inside them to retain shape, but these are just thin wires. Most of what looks like bone on their body is solid muscle; tongue-like. And you know how strong a tongue can be.. but it's in own special way.

with a bear trap for a face?
You were correct up til that point XD their jaws are one of the spots on their body with very little muscle. Use your fingers to grab your arm, hard! ...thats pretty accurate of their jaw's force, but that's what you sacrifice for jaw-mobility and control. Their jaws function like fingers to, so their teeth are analogues to fingernails. Like a snake they rely on anchoring into their food, or at least holding it firmly in order to get it inside. Anchoring allows them to stay connected without using any force, even if the prey is struggling.

Ooooh. Judging by some of your artwork of synx and disembodied human heads/limbs, I figured they'd have some kind of badass biting or clawing capabilities. I guess I'd rather have a run-in with a synx than a lion or something, though. I might even try to stuff one in a briefcase and take it home to keep as a pet. Feed my enemies to it and such to keep it happy, and give it pet-pets and take it for walkies (all while donning a full suit of chain-mail as a precaution).
Anyway, I hope you don't mind my incessant curiosity. I'm completely obsessed with monsters.

Yeah that is the popular conclusion people come get when seeing something like that, but in actuality what the synxes do is very slow and passive. A synx could severe your arm, but they do so by melting through the soft tissue with their parasitic ability. They cannot go through bone either, but they can severe in-between them. Its like a child trying to cut through a brick of play dough with child scissors, it is not a quick or exact science.
But you are right, you'd stand a better chance against a Synx then a lion, by far. XD

It's poisons are absorbed through the skin, but need to enter the bloodstream to be particularly effective. It only disrupts your body's ability to send pain singles to your brain, it doesn't have any other adverse effects. It would be more beneficial as a paralyzing or lethal agent if this substance was meant for prey, but it is first and foremost for covertly invading large animals, and killing or immobilizing them is not what a synx wants to do.
Their brains are coiled in their chest, aim around the area the lungs would be in a human =D

Adorable in my mind anyway and keeping one as a pet would be something I'd love to do. (Says the guy who'd love to have a snake if he could afford the food bill). I think forgo the cattle prod and just stick it in a tank (like you would a large snake). Let it out around the house when you have the time to watch it (keep cattle prod handy) then force the thing back into the tank afterwords. Tinting the glass (like with sunglasses) on the tank would help to keep the synx safe from a stray beams of sunlight from a window and maybe even make the tank more alluring to the Synx so you don't have to force it back in.

Oh, god. You don't even know. My boyfriend constantly thinks I'm a demented freak because I think they're adorable and I want one so bad. ; A; I don't even care if they're deadly, yo. It's fucking sexy and I want one to snuggle up with.

I think I may have stumbled across the worst yet best creature. The thing up in the corner, fitting. And the description of how their bones/muscles work, I have now found one thing that truly makes a shiver run up my spine. revengefox, you somehow made such a simple description sound so creepy. Honestly, I'm not sure if I should be impressed or freaked out by these...things(I don't intend for that to be rude).
