The Fury is a "cybioid", an adaptive android created by Prime Minister Jim Jaspers of an alternate reality, who was himself a mutant with reality warping powers. Jaspers was elected on an anti-superhero ticket, and created The Fury to exterminate all the superheroes of his world and leave no opposition when Jaspers used the world as his playground, the only survivor being their version of Captain Britain who escaped to the mainstream Marvel universe. Among the Fury's victims were British heroes such as the Miracleman family, The Steel Claw, and even comedic junior hero General Jumbo.
