I love this picture for many reasons : of course the visible stuffs (the paws, their texture, the poor hygiene of this creature, the decoration of his lounge, including the dead insects, etc.) - Yet, all the power of this picture, like the previous one, is outside the frame : he is clearly watching something on the TV, something involving lot of green, maybe some US sport where you need to wear helmets and armour and that has nothing to do with football. He seems to be quite alone, or occasionally meeting people with the same interest for smelly smoked herbs giving some special colour to his eyes... even if I believe that the smoke would never succeed to cover some other smells produced by this animal. Even if this room seems very small, somehow dark and hermetically closed with some piece of cloth in front of the windows (hiding the exterior... outside the frame as I said before), this microcosm has its own rules and logic.
I am wondering how this idea (including the outstanding composition) came to your mind...
The themes of your two recent pictures are getting a bit more disturbing and much more complex.
Your wonderful creativity has reached a new level for me, a level I hope I could explore one day. ^^

I have some much darker pictures to come!!!
I still like drawing what I want and I dont feel compelled to play it safe. Its how my approach has always been, even if its not going to give me a guaranteed hit.
As for how I go about the creative process, I usually have a list of ideas long in advance and allow myself time to dwell on things to see which things strike me as particularly potent or suitable for mixing together.
There's usually 3 main goals. New and interesting characters. Distinct themes. And poses that allow for the most visually intriguing focal points.
Even when things click together I can come up with small additions along the way. With this picture it was simply adding a broken claw to the middle toe for a neat and unusual touch.

Stahp teasing me, the stronger the better! I can only dream of how intoxicatingly potent the musk is...may even become addicted to them heh.
Btw after extensively staring at this pic I wanted to say you really did a fantastic job showing how worn out his paws are, other than the chipped claw, I can see spots on his padded sole where it's callous. I love this picture too much ./////.

Regardless they a more vocal and more publicly recognized to main steam media then the furry fandom which is quite impressive all things considered!
As for the big bang. Its impossible to prove without a shadow of a doubt but there is plenty of evidence to support it with the expansion of the universe. No one is claiming that there was in fact "nothing" before it.
