A bastard to a noble lord in Calabria, Asher was never allowed too close to his father's castle. Having made his way across the sea to Akoma, he joined the Golden Company, a highly skilled mercenary group with a famed reputation of never breaking a contract.

Recently though, the Golden Company has been having a hard time finding work in Akoma, sending junior officers to every port to try to secure employment. Asher finds himself in Saltmarsh, desperate to get work for his band of brothers that might all end up penniless if work doesn't appear.
