I drew this on a whim to try to see if I could emulate someone else's sketching style. The results were... not as good as I'd hoped. It feels weird to paint over my lines like this.
But the subject matter is the Demon of the Battlefield, an old gnoll who fought in the Central Gnoll War. He was feared wherever he appeared, and could take on several well trained knights at once without trouble. He shrugged off any wounds dealt to him and was capable of tearing a fully armored knight in half with his bare hands.
He has since renounced his violent past. Most believe him to be nothing but a harmless old trembling drunk that sits around the fighting pits, but the rage gnaws at him in the back of his mind.
