When Engy started to regain consciousness, he noticed something was off... Short hairs were spreading all over his body! His nose and mouth stretched together to form a short snout. He could feel his nails growing longer, becoming sharper.
"What the hell is happening to me!?" He screamed while he grabbed hold of his growing fur. It was hard to admit to himself that the short blue hairs felt nice in his hands. The little bit of sunlight that was left in the room refracted in just the right way to make his new coat glow.
"Hmm? You offered me to help me with my duties. I will still take care of the hard part, making the sun shine. You however, will guide the way of the moon for the night." The voice explained calmly.
"I didn't think you meant help like that!? More like cleaning this place?" He replied.
"Why would I bother about this place? They built this temple around me while I was asleep.” The voice said trying to stay calm but obviously seeming annoyed.
"Yeah, but why am I growing fur and… and claws?" Engy asked, clearly afraid of what was happening while he inspected his still changing body. “It feels so weird.”
"I am giving you a proper magical body to fulfill your part! Normally I am not this small, so I don’t usually have to worry about someone disturbing me. But who would approach a sleeping dragon?"
‘A DRAGON!? That’s what she is turning me into? That's... incredible.’ He thought.
"Yes, a dragon. You will soon have a body capable of accomplishing your duties. Guiding the light of night until I return in the morning, and scaring away any intruders while I tend to the sun." The voice explained.
"How did you?... Can you read my mind? How long am I going to help you with this?" He replied.
"I apologise about the mind reading. I wanted to know my new partner a little more. As for your other question, you can help me as long as you want. Even though, after you've tried it, you might not want to go back to your old life."
"Yeah... we’ll see about that." He replied while a bulge started to grow out of his back. ‘A tail... of course that would come next.’


I haven't wrote any stories in a long time (And its the first time I wrote a story in english so my friend Pickit was so friendly and helped me correcting it and correct spelling mistakes!)
