Improvement meme. This took all day. I'm just now finished with it. @_@
Well enjoy anyway. And here's the descriptions for each year, because I know the words are small and almost unreadable.
2003:
The year I barely knew anything about the internet. These were the days I spent most of my time drawing out stories. If I ever ran out of paper, I’d just use the back of old school work.I also was a large copycat; drawing stories based off books or TV shows. Anime was definitely a big influence on
my art in this year. I’m afraid I don’t having anything else for the rest of 03. These were hard enough to find already.
2004:
I may have gotten slightly better here, but I still continued to copy plots or character traits/personalities. In all honesty though, if I had never done that, Croc would have never been created. The same thing applies to my Zeon creatures. Nothin’ for the last two boxes. Like I said, these were hard to find; it didn’t help that I didn’t date them, either.
2005:
The year I joined FAC, aka Fanart Central. I met quite a few people on here, and watched some really good artists. This year was also the start of Des, Vahn and I’s friendship, along with Croc and Des’ relationship. Of course, they weren’t paired up right away. Anyway, I mainly used traditional media MS paint until I finally got a copy of Photoshop. As you can see in the last pic, I needed a lot of practice.
2006:
As time passed, I thought it was time to change Croc’s appearance, especially if I ever wanted to make a published comic book, or an animated series. I spent many years just drawing Crocodile people, and as my art progressed, so did my interests. This was the year I changed Croc into a tribreed. Don’t know what I was thinking when I gave Croc the punk look. Worst idea I ever had. <.<
2007:
I joined FA, aka Fur Affinity by this time. My characters were still developing, and still are to this day, but they look a lot better now than they did years ago. I also was still trying to get the hang of cell shading here too. My anatomy needed a lot of work, too. This year the characters’ bodies looked long, it was terrible. Croc also had too much of an attitude then. He probably could’ve been considered emo. XD
2008:
More character development! This was also probably the time I split Croc into two people. That got really confusing XD I was never good with character designing, but I prefer simple designs over intricate ones any how. Also the year I changed myself into a tiger. I like cats, but I always pictured myself as a tiger, so that’s why I did the change.
2009:
And here we are now or were, anyway, This was a fun year for me. I’ve gotten pretty far in my art, but I feel I need more practice. And that’s what I’m gonna do. It’s fun and pretty cool to see how much I’ve improved over the years. I can’t wait to see what my art looks like in the future. Bring it on 2010!

A.U stands for alternate Universe.
Anyway, I made two Croc's because I have a friend who I like to rp with, and he really likes my character Croc, but Croc is straight and not gay, so I felt it was kinda destroying his character if I rped with him being gay. So, I made another Croc who could be gay and just used him whenever I rped with that friend.
The more I used this other Croc, the more he started developing into a different character. I only started making changes on him because I wanted people to be able to tell the difference between the regular Croc and the A.U. Croc. It didn't help much.
So now, A.U Croc is now known as Fenris. Fenris isn't the alternate version of Croc anymore. I'm still trying to develop both him and Croc, but it's fairly easy to tell who's who, though they occasionally get mistaken for the other by other viewers. Not often though.
And that's pretty much the story.

Oh that makes a lot of sense. I've watched for a long time and remember the pics of croc and AU croc, then remember being gone for about a month and Fenris was here and AU croc was gone and I was totally lost.
That's what I guessed had happened but I never heard the official story =P
Very, very interesting to see the progression by the way.

:O Oh gawd, memories of FAC are flooding back!
It's so cool to see how your stuff has changed indeed. :) (But still, I'm gonna miss ol' scalie!Croc. ^^;;)
I so wanna do this meme...only problem is I'm too afraid to go back for my old art without my eyes bleeding all over the place. :X

Good god, the differences from year to year are immediately recognizable (this is a good thing, as the differences are improvements). The jump you made from 2008 and 2009 though is what really gets me. In 2008, it looks like you're still experimenting with shading, having the right idea and then playing with it, and eventually making it take shape. The eyes are also not as expressive as your current style, which left a bit of something lacking in the 2008 pics that IS there in the 2009. I see your current work, and it's a world's difference from that. Your anatomy has also greatly improved, moving from a haphazard segmented look to something that looks much more natural.
You say you want to improve, and I'd say you're well on the road to do so. Cheers to a new year of many a good stuff from you.
