Fishkill sits at an elevation of about 980 feet above sea level. Accordingly, beyond the buildings across the street are mostly wide open views of distant hills.

I love Fishkill; I had a friend who lived there about thirty years or so ago. Some of the views are rather striking, as much of rural New York is. Her condo, not so much.
