One good thing about the superhero community is the friendships. That has certainly been true for Tamara with both unregistered heroes like Mircale and the family that the BOS provides.

Today was one of those days that proved just how nice it was. Slipstream had been offered to work with the Las Torres team for a few weeks to fill out the ranks while Cholla had to take care of some business with the Forest Service. Today however had been a slow day and so while the two were geared up ready to go on patrol, for now they were just sitting in the rec room in a quiet moment.

Almost everyone considered Slipstream like a goofy brother or uncle and this was no exception as he had offered to braid Tamara's hair while waiting. The times they'd spent together just chatting and being goofy with one another had been a boon in the usual stressful and tense city.

"You know that my people traditionally didn't braid their hair right?" Tamara said with a giggle as Jason finished brushing her hair and started to separate out a few strands. She'd winced a bit with a harder tug here and there, but by and large the panther's fine motor skills were on display as he worked the strands of hair.

"It's not like I'm cutting it," Jason said as he stuck his tongue out. "And maybe Judd will like it, hmm?"

Tamara blushed and just chuckled along. It was nice just having a slow day.

A lovely piece by  Wil Goldwing of  GameGod210's Slipstream being the kind of goofy older brother to Tam he usually is to the other heroes he's around. It was a wonderful gift by GG and I'm glad to have fun pieces like this of Tam interacting with the other pillars of the CU.
