There’s not really all that much to unpack in this one, other than all the times in my life that I’ve had to deal with a situation, where someone was behaving in a certain way, where they were just begging to have that Biblical quote from Luke 4:23 – “Physician, Heal Thyself!” thrown at them.
I’m sure pretty much anyone has at least one or two stories, where they can directly relate. The only other comment I can make is that the title of this piece takes some measure of inspiration from the song “Sweetness Follows”, which was on REM’s 1992 album “Automatic For The People”.

Funny you should mention that biblical quote, because yes! I have had such an experience, and it inspired this...
A frog had claimed the doctor's art,
With skills to cure an ailing heart,
An ailing mind, an ailing frame;
For healing illness was his game;
With all these boasts achieving fame.
One day in selling to a crowd
Of beasts the cures which made him proud,
A fox sprang up and laughed out loud:
"Don't buy from such a useless hack;
"This doctor's nothing more than quack!
"He's sick himself, and yet he'll preach
"Upon the cures outside his reach!
"So put these words upon your shelf:"
The fox then scoffed, "Physician, heal thyself!"
In fact, I posted it in the related forum, so you may be able to guess how that went.
