Over time, I've noticed a use of the Internet trend "(Subject) is love" with (originally) a rainbow-colored, but now any-colored bar. This was especially apparent to me last night, as I finally got down to adding watches to the other artists here that give me added inspiration, or just plain kick ass, and saw several different bars of this nature. I also noticed a number of Okami-related art pieces, but couldn't find one that played into the "is love" fad. Even a Google search found nothing, and even game screenshots were scarce.

So I made my own, because I love Okami. I tried to adhere to the stylistic properties of the game, the watercolor and woodblock style. Most of the colors came easily enough, except for yellow (Sakuya) and blue (the Celestial Brush). I think at some point it might be fun to do a vector-based version in Illustrator with flat colors and gradients, but that's a program I haven't touched in a few years now, so it might never come about. But I like this one, at least.
