"Kitti didn't have it easy when she first came here to Nodd.

Normally there's some confusion attached to bein' a Dreamer. After all, a person leavin' their whole life behind and startin' over in a new world, while they still remember the old one? Shoot, no thanks. I'll stay right here where things make sense, thank ya.

But Kitti didn't just remember one life previous, see. It took us a real long time to figure out, but she somehow remembered three other lives. Can you believe it? There was a whole big Magical muckity muck that explained the whole thing, but I never much paid attention to that kinda thing. All's I knew was she was scared and needed a friend. And heck, I make a pretty great friend, if I do say so myself.

Seein' her meet Vincent for the first time? Saddest thing I ever did see. She fell head over heels mad for time she laid eyes on him, on account of how he looked just like someone from her past life. But, so far as any of us knew, Vincent wasn't no Dreamer. Nodd native, born and raised.

After some time Kitti figured out how to talk to him without spookin' him with that 'other life' sutff. Dunno how she managed it, but after a while they became friends too, which was nice as you please, havin' Vincent a part of the group.

I dunno how their romance started. They kinda kept it a secret, for a long while, seems like. But that was years and years ago, and now? The two are downright enchanted with eachother. It's the kinda thing you read about in books and hear about in stories and think about how annoying the star crossed lovers are, with their hand holdin' and their swoonin' and whatnot. But Kitti and Vincen't ain't like that. Their love is the kinda love that makes everyone around them feel better, included. Kinda gives you hope, ya know? Like, maybe you might find somethin' like that some day.

Maybe it sounds silly, but I believe it. Until that happens though, I've got the two of them, and our other friends too, so that's keepin' me real happy."
