"I wasn't sure what to make of Tipsy Wispy.
First of all, I know these Nightsiders had strange names, but really? Second of all, she was a lot like a Shaman-Ai; white, mask like face, quadrupedal, and she seemed to have a mind like a child. I knew she could speak, but she wouldn't talk directly to me, so I wasn't sure if she spoke like a Shaman-Ai, in the third person, or not. Instead, she would speak to Storm, or to Emile, but if it was she and I on our own, she'd only use body language to communicate.
The first time I had to make my way though the woods Storm sent her with me to guide my ways. When I asked if following the trails wouldn't be sufficient the tall and lanky Felis Major rubbed his chin, considering as he watched Tipsy Wispy chase his kid around the front garden, leaving a trail of fog behind her that the younger Felis delighted in scattering with their body. After a few moments, Storm said it would make him feel better if I went with the strange creature, so I obliged. Anything to keep Storm happy.
Having to keep up appearances though, I sighed heavily and slumped off into the garden to tell Tipsy Wispy I was ready to go.
Following her through the woods was easy, I'll admit. Even when she slipped behind a tree and seemed to disappear, I could just follow the little trail of fog, and then I'd find her again. She'd snicker under her breath and zip up a tree, onto a branch, and crawl into tree hole, into whatever space these Cheshire relatives had all to themselves, and appear five trees up the path, to easily swing from branch to branch while she waited for me. Considering how dense and round her little body was, she was strangely good and graceful at this tree to tree travel.
It would be so much more efficient to travel my own way, but Magic in the woods could easily go awry for people who weren't natives of the area. I knew I'd have a better chance at finding my way safely via Magic if I walked the path with my own paws first, but that didn't make it any less tedious.
At least Tipsy Wispy's antics were somewhat entertaining, though I'd never let on that I thought so."
This is probably the last time I'll be drawing this character in this old style. Her design got an upgrade last year, I just haven't finalized it yet. https://www.furaffinity.net/view/29216239/
