Mining's dirty work! Thankfully, gold abounds out west, even for those who strike out after a long day of digging.
For all the folks who missed the painting panel at FC this year, here's what we came up with! I know I had fun presenting -- hopefully everybody who attended was at least entertained, if not educated <3

This iteration of colors is really great. I love the golden wheat and filthy miners juxtaposition. Beyond that, the figures have your characteristic verisimilitude which leads me to wonder why I was never taught about the manimal miners of '49 in school. Another impressive image, making me that much more sorry I couldn't make the panel.
Dude this looks BAD ASS. You've been adding some serious yellow to your palette and its quite potent (and good). I also really like the realness of their imperfect bodies, the signs of age in the arms, and the natural protrusions of weight in the chests and sides -- well done, I feel like this depiction of form is something rarely seen in the manimal strata.
