Do Indrel normally eat meat? I forget if their dietary preferences have come up before, but the first thing to cross my mind when I saw Yannit gravitating towards the meat was 'Oh great, the giant ant with the ingrained psychotic frenzy bubbling under the surface has a taste for flesh now.'
I was a lil worried on that as well. It's the timing of when Yannit snaps...
Yannit's species is hive based and alone they risk this switch as well.. A third option is just kill everything.
Which may also be why Yannit was sent here.
It's really hard to inflect well in text but this shows it well.

Y'know, at some point in human history, I believe young boys used to wear dresses, which is probably why I can still see Lopin as boy even though he is dressed in that ridcilous outfit.
I would go on to say more, but, for some reason, my comment didn't upload the first time and was lost, so I am too annoyed to type it all down again. : /
Lopin's waddle is cute. Let's call that a summary.

Aw she's worried about her little friend, how sweet! Is someone a little cranky and maybe going to rip some bad mans spine out and devour his hart for almost killing one of the few people to treat them as a real, valid person deserving of respect and compassion? Ya, I thought so... She's so cute!
It looks like everyone is interpreting this as possible revenge, I'll need to check all her appearances but this could be a chicken-like reaction. As in, she's going to kill the injured friend and eat him. Chickens freak out at the sight of blood and peck the injured to death, sooo... it's possible.
I'm hoping she's wanting to get revenge, but things would be interesting and horrifying if not.

First thought: is there any "soft tasty" among the samples? If the answer is no it should tell us that it would be important to first interview the subject on what she considers edible, instead of presenting only human foods.
Second thought: Toshizo Hijikata wrote to William Willis that feeding Japanese men pork (which they usually ate never/very rarely) with a view to increase the body strength also caused "heightened aggression". Is something like that in play here? Or it is purely emotional reaction, nothing to do with "culinary experiment"?
