Lonnie Lionus, better known as the Macho Major, is the designated leader of the Drumbum Lions, and is also a celebrated 5-Star General of the Leonian Army. Here's the bio:

Former Occupation: 5-Star General for the Leonian Army; he served Leonine for almost 20 years and reached that planet's equivalent of the USA's GA (General of the Army), a position currently held by Richard Jones.
Current Occupation: Percussionist on the musical payroll system, music composer and conductor, competitive bodybuilder, swimsuit model, and leader of the Drumbum Lions. While the Drumbum code of honor tests all percussionists with their abilities on the snare drum, they are allowed to pick the instrument that best suits them. Lonnie, however, chose a mace to use in battle, in order to distinguish him from the other two Drumbum leaders (Snare Soldier and Timpani Tiger).
Appearance: Large and muscular lion with blue eyes. Due to his modeling job, you can expect to see him at the appropriate times wearing only a speedo or swimsuit. It caused a fuss with parents overprotective of their kids, but Lonnie and his lions are conscious of the fact and always keep it to the proper places. If clothes are to fully cover his body, he'll wear a light blue drum major's uniform with golden stripes and Epaulettes, or sometimes a blue tuxedo with a black bowtie. He also has a blue business suit with a brown tie and pants to match. His uniform and formal wear all have the proper shoes.

Bio: After the success of the Drumbum Rats became headline news, Leonine and Bengalia decided to form their own clubs of Drumbums. Upon arriving on Earth, the three groups merged into one large army's worth of animals, all of which play musical instruments while working full-time as bodybuilders and swimsuit models. Lonnie was appointed leader of the Drumbum Lions (upon suggestions from other lions and approval from the Snare Soldier, Roger J. Raticus). Part of his qualifications caem from his military career as a 5-Star General, and his natural marching and drumming abilities. It also helped that King Lionel XVIII (the Monarch Major) had chosen him to play the snare drum in Leonine's Royal Symphony and Philharmonic Orchestra (which the king himself would conduct). However, Roger himself made the point that if he was to be a G-52, the other Drumbum leaders might as well be G-52s, and that they should be allowed to associate themselves with the instruments that suited them best, even though they would judged on their worthines by their abilities to play the snare drum. (He'll march with a bass drum, however, if the parade is for a crusade or to get a message to the people.)

Lonnie is the winningest bodybuilder in Leonine's history, with five championships to his credit. He credits his military careers and marching disciplines as the biggest help for that, since lion bodybuilders would formally march down the runway before posing (complete with percussionists keeping the beat). Unlike the absolute strongest of G-52s and allies, however (Crush, Danger Dawg, Leonidas), he can only bench-press 1,000 pounds, but it's still enough.

He became a 5-Star General upon his victory in the redundant but aptly named "Battle of Battle," which consisted of Leonian soldiers pushing the Golbarkan pirates out of the planet for good. Sadly, the destruction of Leonine occurred from it being too fragile to support life, but Lonnie made the assumption CNG was causing it, because he was exposed to CNG the very day he and his fellow lions fled the planet. It was there where he was, upon command, ordered to play what the king called the "victory drum roll of rolls," meaning no victory calling for such occasions had ever been as significant as this victory. On all occasions, Lonnie or another lion would perform a long drum roll as the king's soldiers raised victory flags, concluding when the flags reached the top. Upon reaching the top, the bands would playing stirring tunes.

Like the other G-52s, Lonnie was upset to discover the Eternals and their fears of muscular bodybuilders and/or superheroes. He therefore promised to be friends instead of enemies. This was a promise made when Cripto purchased Eternal vacation homes for the Drumbums, in response to STOPS targeting them.

Lonnie's signature pieces are "Timeline" (a drum solo for three separate snare drums: one rope-tensioned, one modern marching snare drum [think college football], and one concert snare drum), any military march, the main theme from the "Star Wars" franchise, and the same franchise's "Imperial March." The hardest piece of his to play was Ravel's "Bolero," in which the snare drum repeats the same unchanging ostinato rhythm from start to finish. He is teaching himself certain music from the "Star Fox" and "Legend of Zelda" franchises.
