Lore - From the Eyes of the Snowstorm
Hearsay and scripture tell of a gargantuan mass of snow. Given life by the breaths of the planet herself. She came in the womb of a meteor, lead on by the voices of a species of ancients. Upon arrival, this member was extinguished in the blow. She opened her virgin eyes to a world untold of. A world unheard of by many, and spoken of by few. A world wrapped in a pocket of time, invisible to all but those who control the floodgates. Upon finding her disembodied voice's carcass, she mourned undyingly. She wandered these life-bearing lands for eons, pondering to herself the values and intricacies of life. Often, on nights alone, she would gaze up at the stars that birthed her, crying out in mourn over how they wronged her, bringing her into the world only to kill someone she loved. Following this period of mourning, she began to notice shapes in the shadows that likened to her own shape. Though smaller, they made themselves known as others of her 'species'. Though not what she initially imagined her life would become, she took up the role as this small group's leader. Apparently, she had been followed for a time. When others of her kind were birthed from the same meteor she came from, they had followed her footsteps in the snow, and others had consequential footsteps of the initial seekers. She was the first of a new breed of creature, and they wished to proclaim her a leader. As they trekked along in a pack, community formed, something unlike any other species had seen before. Even with their gargantuan size, they formed houses in the crevices of mountains, living off the flesh of fauna and flora alike. For the first time in her eternal life, there was an era of peace. Among her people, peace was at last given to her worrisome head. But no amount of wishing or supposed protection came secure peace. During the night, members of their kind went missing. Searches ensued for days, but even as they searched, more became missing. She had learnt to wisen up, staying alert throughout the night, taking care of a little one who's mother had gone missing herself. She caught the perpetrators, a carnivorous species of dragon known for taking shelter within the clouds. It began to rain, water pelting them from the sky. She lunged, tackling the beast away from a clutch of forming eggs. She flung the beast into the sky, the creature flying away, but not before bellowing a curse of war. She was surrounded. She held many off with her bulky tail, many more with her extended neck and canine teeth. A youngster of the pack lunged in return at her, unveiling lion claws and trailing the teeth of bones down her back. She roared in agony, the sound awakening those around her, and rendering the dragons' cover blown. They dove into the other side of the clouds, vanishing within the puffs of grey dust. She cried in pain on the ground. Holding the spared clutch of eggs with her claws. Members of the community approached her, taking her elsewhere slowly, attempting to assure her of her health and bravery.
The seam broken by the brute never closed. In spite of the odds and healing remedies, the seam remained open. For a time, this posed no issue. The eon of peace continued, albeit occasionally infringed upon by the dragons. Even with some pups lacking a parental figure, other Eliopods happily welcomed the pups into their clutches. The Snowstorm herself adopted a parent-less chick, coining him the name Erevan, in honor of his brother who was also claimed by the dragons. Even with their population shrinking on the occasion, peace remained. However, something shifted within the great snow leader. During the rare times of anger, her back would ooze a black smoke, unmoved unless with the exception of wind. Many were fooled that, if she were to stay still with the black ooze running, the smoke would envelop her skin and body, suffocating her. While this furthered the anatomy studies on their own kind, she grew ever anxious. A scout for an alien species took notice of this, feeling something was forewarned to happen when the wound oozed smoke. Upon warning his young leader, the fool made a callous decision; capture them all. If the apex predator considers these ethereal beings food, then perhaps these animals could solve their energy crisis. Starting with Mirror, they lulled all the Eliopods into their ownership; tearing down their communities, stealing their eggs, abducting their hatchlings. Even the slinky and sly Erevan was captured, the aliens lulling him in with her presence. After the boy began sobbing over the beaten body of his only friend, she gave the late command of "Run". Nonetheless, he was captured, taken to the camps with the rest of the 'Eliopods'.
Breeding. Fur. Energy. Life.
They devout it all to uncompensated work under these 'Zyvaults'.
The Snowstorm, spending nights alone in her stall, would often take her claws onto herself, piercing her own skin in guilt.
It was YOUR fault.
You failed them.
The only feeling she knew for those centuries was regret. Loneliness. Separation anxiety from Erevan. Everything a mother would feel when she fails her child. After a century of this abuse, the negative energy opened her ages-old scar, a voice emerging. It spoke sassily, laced with provocative tones, but the feel of her voice was anger; mirroring the anger she felt. It proposed a solution; her name was Shatter, and while violence isn't her forté, pacifism isn't getting them anywhere but towards death. The Snowstorm was unwilling to do that violence, but Shatter was. Upon hearing the disoriented cries of Erevan from afar as the day began, she agreed, and her body began to turn inside out; particle by particle, color by color.
She fell into a deep sleep, Shatter wrecking havoc outside. She brought fourth an eternal winter on the aliens, able to free Erevan before being restrained again. When the Snowstorm awoke, she was weak, placed in a confinement cell near a basin of lava to keep her weakened. As she came to her disoriented senses, a council of the aliens collaborated. After much debate, they concluded that the only fate fitting of these dangerous creatures is a controlled extinction. These creatures rely on natural energy to thrive, and stripping them of that resource would starve them all to death, lest they cannibalize one another.
The next morning, The Snowstorm and the other Eliopods were chained, dragged, and cautiously released in the Death Gorge. This land had no life to it. The temperatures provided a stable enough spot for an ecosystem, but no spark of life came within 100 miles of the gorge. The future became bleak for the Eliopods, and the stress of a solution rested wholeheartedly on The Snowstorm's shoulders. Weak, tired, and disoriented, she shed every inch of her power to call fourth snow, which became nutrient-filled water. Using more, she brought fourth gale winds, life-bearing nutrients clinging to the rich air that arrived. With the building blocks in place, she succumbed to the weariness. Erevan, feeling indebted to her, carried her sleeping body to a cold mountain within their territory, resting her there so she would recover faster. He stuck by her side, watching over her thousand year slumber to ensure her building blocks were being built upon by nature herself. To the Eliopods' joy, her method had proven not only effective, but essential. The gorge became a natural paradise. Carnivores had prey willing to stay within the gorge, and herbivores had plenty of nutritious plants to feed from. All that was destined to happen now was for The Snowstorm to awaken. It took a good while, almost two thousand years, but the great snow mass awoke. She woke to Erevan gleefully explaining the paradise below. Although initially pessimistic, she followed the young Eliopod outdoors, and her tired, lonesome eyes widened at the glorious array of fauna and flora before them. Although far away, it was clear that life would eternally prosper here. She made the day's walk down to the gorge, greeting everyone there, happily accepting their thanks, albeit humbly. When the pleasantries were over, the Snowstorm used her new strength to craft a barrier across the wilderness, one that stretches from the mouth of the gorge to the tail. Approximately 5,000 miles of land were claimed within the territory, and it would become one that the Eliopods would protect in the Snowstorm's absence. Feeling dizzy after this, Erevan suggested they move to the northern end of the territory; a three day hike, yes, but the coldness of the land would sustain her. Agreeing, they bid goodbye to their commerads and began the hike.
Venturing across the blue forest, stretch of mountains, and a glacier field, the Snowstorm eventually found another gorge to call home. It mirrored the gorge she had given life to, yet the land became a tainted blue once she arrived. Upon striding closer, the gorge lit up, an array of earth-bound auroras firing up from the heart of the Earth. Erevan externally played off his fear as curiosity, while the Snowstorm herself displayed genuine curiosity and awe. They eventually climbed up the mountain at the valley's mouth, and right then and there, the Snowstorm knew she had found her home. In her gargantuan feral form, she could sleep comfortably, with additional space to boot. As the anthropomorphic form, it would serve as a beautiful home, decorated and lovingly up kept. Erevan and the Snowstorm debated whether to live as ferals in this cave or bipedal Eliopods. After weighing the pros and cons, they agreed to reside in this cavern as bipedal Eliopods. As the Snowstorm slept, Erevan and his mate, Magama, bought ideals to decorate the cave, always keeping the Snowstorm in mind. Every time they awoke, the Snowstorm made a game for herself over what Erevan and his mate had changed. Often times she found it on her own, other times Erevan had to single it out. In time, though, it truly became their home. They were happy, albeit solitary, creatures. Upon awakening one time, however, the Snowstorm awoke to a piece of furniture that supposedly reflected whatever was in it. She examined her face and eyes, realizing how she resisted aging. Erevan approached her, explaining that this was a mirror; a piece of reflective glass. He explained how it helped with showing how the user looks to other people, giving a third party perspective on their attire and appearance. Mirror was curious, though, and she placed her hand upon it to feel the smooth texture. Upon doing this, however, the world suddenly shifted around her, and she was surrounded by pale, hairless, bipedal creatures with five fingered hands. Terrified, she ran, fleeing into another mirror, and landing herself back in her home. Erevan, terrified and shaking, asked where she had vanished to. Although exhausted, she smiled, muttering to him.
"I... Can traverse between dimensions... I do not recall any other Eliopods possessing this ability... I must make use of it... You no longer must call me the Snowstorm... " She paused, eyes nearly closed, her smile breaking as she drifted off," my name, from here on fourth...shall be Mirror."

Q&A:
-Can I make NSFW art of my Eliopod?
To be honest you can try but it'll be hard! XD They essentially fap to reproduce so I feel like that's the limit of their explicit content XD
-Can I make and sell Eliopod adopts?
Yep! And keep the profits, too! Just list somewhere that I made the species!
-I didn't find my question here...
That's okay! Just note me if you have any questions! I don't bite! ^u^
