With these two like this, it does remind me of of a comparison I thought of, with Frostbite being like a horribly cracked clay pot, and the ways of him getting "fixed" comparing Convergence vs Wildbite (even as a comedy comic)
In Wildbite, its like the pot has been softened with an evenly controlled, heartful flame. It might look odd or not quite the same, but it was fixed with love.
In Convergence, the pot has been broken even more and shards are roughly shoved into a similar shape it once was, but only being held together by some rubber cement. Technically whole, but its obviously artificial.

mark..
..
. . . . .
..fuck.
is this art deco?
because this style of mark's, at least for some of the background elements of this painting, seems to be from that genre.
that genre, of which i am a huge fan!
´amplifies this scene even more for me: wildfire forlorn, his would-be love frostbite in dire straits
those blooms behind them, also appearing to lament what's happening
💔
this is good shit, RB

edelweiss x fire poppies are quite appropriate flora for this duo — correct.
now that i've had some hours to reflect: i definitely posit, the poppies are indeed lamenting, while the edelweiss lie on the ground, signifying death (not necessarily the death of the polar bear, mind!)
oh.. ..this tech is art nouveau.
´got it, RB
this, the direct predecessor to the style that i already had a bit of familiarity with, but had confused the other for
i am happy about this: because i also love art noveau as much as i love art deco.. ..i just didn't ever know what the tech was officially called as
and, yes — mark is feckin' excellent in replicating art noveau
such loving craftsmanship.. ..even down to the hand-drawn font and surrounding decor/embellishments: just as it would have been done, back in that period of time from which this "new art" was founded
whether commissioned or gifted, either way i am glad you shared this painting with us.
another painting that i'd not mind making as the backdrop for my phone / computer, if such usage were permitted

This piece is amazing. Really catches everything from the story in one beautiful piece of art. Really so much emotion in this piece. I love that it shows the bond these two have with each other and how much Wildfire cares about his friend Frostbite. So amazing and love this so much. So thankful to the artist for doing this piece. So cool to see so many people love this series so much that art like this on this level exists out there. Shows you really are doing something special with this series.
