An idea I'd had floating around in the back of my mind for a while. I wanted to create a bear (partially due to the fact I'm not overly attached to bears) that i would enjoy drawing time to time, and this was what I came up with. The bear hasn't got a name, but was intended instead of sort of "develop" a name or personality for herself the more I would draw her as time went by...or both, regarding the name and personality bit.
EDIT: She now has a name, thanks to my buddy
stardevin n.n Her new name is now Tika the Bear.
This was another piece I had been working on back in October. I hadn't gotten around to posting it, because I was more focused on sketches and other works at the time of its development. What was really fun working on this piece was coming up with a colour pattern. While I do know the actual black bear markings on real life bears, I felt it might be more interesting taking a twist on it and changing it up a bit. This was just what I'd come up with. I'm pretty fond of faces with the markings starting at the nose, going under the eyes (or up to the eyes), and following along the cheek line. I also had added a few more markings to her, just so when I do draw her again, that I'd have enough of her body visible that I could remember what I had decided to do with this design, patterns-wise.
If you enjoy this piece, consider sharing or joining my Patreon. I don't have many Pledgers, but I'd be happy to draw for anyone who supports me =)
Thank you for supporting my artwork everyone! And in case you didn't know I had a Patreon account, consider supporting me on there with a chance to win a sketch commission each month c:
