Yet another Morning come to grace the Almighty's lands, and so William found himself stirring from his slumber. He was careful not to disturb the form of his mother asleep beside him, figuring to allow her to rest a bit longer still given she had stayed up late the night prior with her weaving. It was a cool morning but not so cool as to need to rekindle the prior night's fire, and so he simply hurried to dress himself for the day's work and to offer his morning Prayers.
Looking about the home he shared with his mother, he found himself smiling before taking his seat upon the stool. He was not a wealthy man by any stretch, but he lived comfortably and at the end of the day he did not go to sleep hungry. Was there truly more that one could ask for? Well of course there was, but he would not ask of them right now. There was animals to feed, pens to be mucked out, water to draw up, wood to chop, weeds to be pulled, and he still wanted to be able to go practice a bit with his-
He had been stopped in his tracks as his eyes caught sight of his mother's own, looking to him from where she lay and could only return the smile she offered to him. "Good morning to you Mother, did you rest well?" Soft words were uttered by him as he tugged on his shoe. Wow, just WOW! Ever since I won a spot in a certain raffle (Warning, very NSFW) and seeing my Hyena done in his style, I knew for certain that I wanted to commission Geier for something else featuring my Hyena, and here we are!
As of late I've had a renewed interest in Medieval History, 'true' historical images rather than just fantasy and as such this Image depicts my Hyena 'William' living as a fairly low-rung freeman in early 13th century England. He lives with his Mother, is unwed and lives by modest means, raising a handful of animals and growing vegetables and the like. As a Freeman he is expected to and does possess Armaments to fight in the name of his King should the call be issued, but that's for another image~
