"Yes Mother, of COURSE Mother! I'll get right on getting that damnable stone from the Garden! Never mind that it's not going anywhere, and I'd just as easily be able to get it tomorrow, when I'd not had plans to grab a few pints!" He'd grumble between gruff breaths as he stabbed the wooden shovel in to the soil, desperately trying to dig up a far too large stone. "Never mind that it was you who 'happened to misplace' the blade of the damn shovel! How does that even happen?!" He practically spat. "Never mind that I could 'easily' have gotten the shovel fixed upon heading in to town! Oh no.. perish the thought! I'll just likely have to replace the whole thing at this rate!"
For as much as William was bellyaching at that time, he knew his mother meant well... She wanted to get some extra planting done and by all accounts she likely couldn't remove the stone herself, leaving it to him. At the very least she'd offered to muck out the pens for him while he did this, so there was that at the least. Taking a moment to wipe his brow and to look up in to the sky, he'd hope that Keith would be able to forgive him for being a few hours late.Yet another commission tailoring to my recently renewed interest in 13th Century Medieval Europe, this time of William working in the garden. It's been some time since I'd gotten anything from Skidd, but that's something I hope to rectify in the near future.
