There are a few things of note being it introduced. First is the notion of a religion, that of the Three Sisters. The fact that Riu is allowed to have a statue of the religion is actually a big deal, but won't go into it at this time. But Riu is devout in his religion, as is Anon. Beyond that, not much necessary at this time. In this universe, a feral is considered to be the kitsune equivalent of the amish. They are ones who have completely rejected society. Thus why it's bothering Anon so much that someone who has rejected society would be on a space station.
