(I am not a great writer, so I apologize for all of this text)

Mazaku stood still, his whole body shaking as he glanced at the large group that awaited him to speak. He saw an assortment of furs, some making small talk, some looking at their new heft they added on from what they thought was a small dinner (Vorax is to blame for that), and some rubbing their belly, trying to make room for desert. Maz knew everyone here not as guests but rather his friends, a few he met recently, and a few from when he first joined the furry fandom. He nervously calculated and counted the days that this meet up would happen and today was finally the day. Maz was so joyed yet so nervous as he was now going to speak in front of them as a group. As if not meeting each and everyone one of them was enough, now it was time to bring it all together. He fought himself with every pound of his body not to do the speech, but here he was, planted in place in front of his everyone. Maz looked down at his prepared note-cards that was being supported by his hands, and his soft belly that he had just stuffed an hour ago. The room got quiet as everyone noticed Maz getting ready to speak. He then looked back up, took one last deep breath, adjusted his glasses and began speaking.

“Before we start, I w-would like to thank everyone who came out to celebrate another year of this great c-community.” Mazaku’s voice shook as he nervously put his prepared notecards aside and took a nervous breath. He knew the short speech by heart, but this one was for real, no more practicing in front of his brother.

It’s only a few lines. He thought. Yeah, c’mon only a few lines…

Maz looked up once more and continued his speech, “But I also want to thank everyone who has welcomed me into their lives. I am so honored and thrilled to have met such a great group of people in the year that I have been in this community. Though there was plenty more who couldn’t attend, I am happy to see all of your sweet and well now, fat faces.” Maz let out a nervous chuckle and blushed as a few joined in with his laugh. Soon enough, everyone began to clap and Maz’s eyes swelled as a rush of joy swooshed past him. Eventually, the clapping and cheering stopped and Maz returned everything with a smile and quiet ‘thanks everyone’. When everyone quieted down, Maz moved on with subjects.

“Before we do start desert for any who are still hungry, I would like to take a picture with all of us to celebrate 2019, courtesy of Apollo’s camera and his trust in Vorax,” Maz gave a wink at the burly furred dragon who gave his rare but genuine smile. “So please! Everyone position themselves! Shortest in the front and tallest in the back!” Maz smiled nervously and watched as everyone began to scramble around. As Maz waddled to the front of the group, a now fattened up blue roo looked up to the large green dino who tried squeezing himself to the front of the group where he towered over everyone. “Toothy, get your fat butt to the back, you are going to crush everyone!” Kygen chuckled as Toothy sighed sarcastically and started to turn around and waddle back, brushing his rotund rump on a few innocent friends of his. “Hey now! My butt isn’t that fat!” Toothy lets out a hearty laugh. There was other banter that went on as they started to form a group.

Eventually, everyone seemed to be in a good spot and looked over to Vorax who patiently waited for everyone. “Everyone ready?” Vorax smiled squatting his hefty body down, making sure everyone fits in frame. In unison, everyone approved, some beginning to smile for the camera already. Before Vorax could even think of a funny joke about Maz to make everyone laugh, two large shadows casted behind everyone in the darkening sunset, turning a few heads. “Hey, looked who showed up!” Vorax gestured as everyone looked back and saw a large purple dino curiously look through the window, pressing his hands and snout on the window trying to get a better look inside. Behind the dino was a large green roo who still made his way to the window, the stomps shaking the whole building along with everyone’s stuffed bellies, making everyone in the room giddy.

“Smile!” Vorax blurted and when everyone turned around, Vorax pressed his fat finger into the camera.

frozefrenchdragon It seems after the trade, we drifted apart, but you have still taught me so much during the time we got to talk. You taught me to be a little bit more carefree about myself and discover new things! It has been an honor being able to talk to you and I hope we can catch up soon~

engdestroyer Things got rocky, I know, but it was great being able to talk to you and get to know all of you great French furs. I hope we can make ends meet once again and hopefully work out our differences. Either way, thank you for your time and great chats we had~

Of course, sharing music, memes, and thoughts was always a blast with you and will remember them for a while. I hope in the future we can continue our bond and make the best of it.

plokishmok3 Tony! I must be honest here. I was never expecting where we would end up like this. When we first did a collaboration, I thought it would end there, but nope! We are now doing a full-fledged story! Working with you has been one of the best things I have done in the time I have been with FA. Being able to talk to your professionally but also casually has been such a blast and I am so happy to be able to talk to you like we’ve known each other for years~

furrytailgal Last but not least! It all started with an appreciation message way back months ago on Twitter. As time went on, we were able to slowly but surely grow a strong friendship that I can now say is legendary. You are such a silly guy who always makes me red in the face. Not only that, but your caring and passionate nature has always helped me out of rough spots sometimes and reset on bad days. I hope in the future we can meet in real life where we can tease each other until one of us passes out from being too red in the face.



The Ones Who Changed Me:
These fatsos have planted a one of a kind relationship with me that have changed me as a person. These are the the pals who have been with me through thick and thin and have still stuck in the end~


Kygen It’s almost been a year since we had first chatted. I still remember that note you sent me back when I was just smol little derg. Little did I know that it would grow into a much bigger relationship then I had thought. I have learned so much from you in so many ways. Art is one of the main things. You have transformed me as an artist and that is something that I will forever be in your debt for. Looking back when I had no experience to now. I have you (along with some others) to thank for my evolution of art and how it looks now. Thank you so much Kygen for everything you have done, whether that is learning something new or talking through tough times. I am whole-heartedly glad to have met you and hope that we can further extend our bond (and waistline) that we have!

alexcharty17 Luxy~ Oh how relationships can surprise me. We had originally met because we both lived in the same state, but that soon grew to so much more. Now, we are moving in together?! What!? It is crazy to think where it all came from. You are such a caring and giving guy. You have commissioned me, supported my art, talked to me, worked with me, had dinner with me, (will eventually move with me), and I am so damn thankful to know a guy like you. FattyDragonite That first call back in the winter had meant so much to me. Before, I have been a fan of your work and like a few others, you were a big reason for getting into the fandom. Your animations have reached so far, and I was so glad to be inspired by them. After that call I wasn’t sure if I would ever be lucky enough to talk to you again, but you did, and that meant so much. You are truly one of a kind. You are passionate about this community and have created artwork that shows just that. It has been such a wonderful time being able to know you and I am so grateful to be able to talk to one of my biggest inspirations. You strive to do so much with yourself and learn something new every day (voice acting, animation, painting, etc…). You are truly a funny lad that makes sure everyone is just as red in the face as you are when you wear your 150 coats! Dragontzin Tzin, it was the first of January when I nervously sent that first message to you, what started as small talk soon formed into conversations that then went to deep, personal topics. At first, I never saw you as the serious type, but I was soooo wrong. You are one of the most mature people I have ever met. Along with that, you are always there for me and those you care about. You are an open book that is all ears to hear something new but is still knowledgeable with what you talk about. Tzin, you (and many others) have helped me with so much, but you really have broken me down to make sure I am okay. You truly care, and that is something I admire about you (along with so many other things). Thank you so much for everything that you have done for me and everyone else you love and care about.
